I think he has been naive at best and tried to play the experienced players to keep us safe....the trouble is 95% of those experienced players either cant be bothered, want away, know they have relegation release causes or are mentally weak..........play the kids from now on and those that care...JJ, Riccy, Skipp.....the rest can clean the toilets for all i care

As for Winks 😤😤😤🤬

I think if we offered him the job next season he would take it. It would be interesting to see what he could do with his own players, he’s the kind of manager in terms of character that we need, I’m not sure he could mount a promotion based team though? Is he just a motivator-type who comes in and gives a lift? Who knows.

I’m praying whoever we get can completely overhaul this team - and Rowett would already know who needs to stay/go and the type of player we need to target to bring in.

I know most of us have been frustrated with his limited tactics, but he’s already referenced that this squad was built to play a particular way, and I don’t think they’re capable of playing any other - so I think he would change it up eventually with the right profile of player being brought in.

I swear to god some people think that every 40+ white English manager is some combo of Sean Dyche and Neil Warnock. Where is there ANY evidence for this. If he had any character at all why has he changed absolutely **** all?

Relegated as a player for us.

Now relegating us as a manager.

Had a hard job with this group of losers,

but he's really not shown any motivational

Skills or inspiration to improve things.

Time for a change.

But he has a gravelly voice. Don't try and convince me he's not a man management genius.

There's no plans Rowett to stay on beyond the end of the season, always a short term deal. I'm not even sure if Rowett would want to stay anyway. Probably sees that the club is falling to pieces and even with the deadwood out, he won't have the resources to rebuild. Rowett has blew his chance for me, after decent first three games we have shown nothing to say we deserve to stay up. The team selections have pretty much remained the same as if Marti was still here, the youngsters just been forgotten about.

Hate him more than Marti. He's just as bad as the players. He's not arsed if we go down or not. It won't impact what he's doing next year.

We should get a new manager, so we can ruin yet another managers CV.

I am of the opinion that we are ruining the managers rather than the managers ruining us.

Surely the board can see a pattern, they will see that several managers have now failed and so maybe they need to point the finger elsewhere.

I I'm not pro him 😂 and he's become another yes man

I don't blame him for players missing chances like the bucket load at Watford, Sheffield Wed and Preston.

He was brought in to solid us up and get us organised. He somewhat has with the organisation, we just now concede soft set pieces or other goals of our own mistakes that's happened all season.

He has improved more players than Marti did though. Thomas for one who was previously getting dogs abuse, correctly.

He's failed and proved to be no good but has had to work with moronic players. Should have done better and rightly going out the door

He was brought in to keep us up, and he's failed miserably.

We had a mini bounce in his first game and I thought we would be ok, but we've been awful ever since.

Our management recruitment is woeful.

  • This season, Brendan did the impossible and completely messed up at Celtic. Fell out with everyone again because he wanted his own way. Gets bored and starts f4king around, although the ownership there were not willing to bend over and take it. He is now counting his oil money and playing with swords
  • Deano spends his time at Disney World (ok - some place in the US but he's basically retired now from actual football)
  • Cooper is currently messing up at Brondby, ensuring that the best team in the league out there plays terrible football and can barely score
  • Ruud was unemployable anyway, and now washes the kits for the Dutch national team and will be preparing for the inevitable arguments that happen in that team, before eventually doing nothing for the rest of his career
  • Marti was last seen with a nice new pair of trainers on Sky Sports
  • Rowett had been complicit in relegating 2 teams this season. An exceptional achievement

Our problem is we are sh1te at appointing managers and none of them have gone on to prove us wrong.

And to top it all we had Brian Barry-Murphy in the building and let him go to Cardiff to earn them promotion, says it all really.

Rudkin if he had an ounce of decency would fall on his sword after that decision.

Brondby have won the league once in the last 20 years not sure how you work out they are the best team in Denmark

Not really, what have Cifuentes, Rowett and RVN done in management to warrant the Leicester job? Nothing IMO.

Only Cooper had any sort of track record and he turned out to be a hands-off fraud.

I initially thought we appointed him with a long term plan, knowing we would get relagated from the PL but would be well placed for the following season in the championship.

Instead we've had another 3 managers since then without a penny to spend between them, great job Top.

There was some jest in the post. But the point remains, he's not out performed himself. His last season with Forest was harder than anything he had here, so we didnt ruin him.

I am not buying this 'we ruined managers' rubbish. We've been hiring the wrong people.

Yeah, but Brian Henry Barry-Freddie Mercury worked Winks, Vestergaard and Riccy too hard in training once. I think the training session was so long and intense that they all missed their session in the SPA and were late for the Steak dinner. Winks even got caught in the rush hour traffic back to north London. What a horrible man Brain Berry Harry-Twerpie was.

As far as I'm concerned we got what I expected with Rowett. Uninspiring, bang average lower end championship manager. To be fair to him with the personnel and embedded ethos at the club it would have been a tough gig to turn things round in a short space of time for a manager far more capable.

And we made the coach appolgize to the senior players instead of fining them 2 weeks wages.

Bit Harsh he's not been great but he's got a solid record as a championship manager

He really doesn't and I'm not sure where the idea that he has has come from

Look at our appointments.

All jobbers from the England leagues.

No thinking outside the box and looking at what's going on in Central Europe like Bournemouth, Palace,Brighton etc.

No innovation, nothing. Let's just go straight for the British Managerial merry go round.

Expect more of the same from our vegetables 'running' things

This bothered me as far back as when we appointed Puel. We hired him purely because he’d managed Southampton, where he was deeply unpopular.

Just as much as the awful signings, our managerial appointments have been equally uninspired and damaging, with the odd exception.

Your point about lack of a senior striker being brought in was a dereliction of duty.

It's something we've done time and again.

Even out our peak, an extra striker in either of the seasons we missed out on champions League and we'd have made it.

Agreed. We didn´t sign a decent replacement for Vardy (we signed Daka) when we had money to spend.

The last 2 windows we´ve had no money and ended up looking for bargain signings in Poundland, with the results that are obvious. The same goes for Cifuentes and Rowett - we appointed them because they were the cheapest options, again with the results that are obvious.

As everyone here has stated many times, the recent lack of money is the result of gross financial mismanagement since summer 2021.
