FoxesTalker Posted 16 February Posted 16 February Rowett’s first match in charge if he gets appointed in the coming days.
lookwhaticando Posted 16 February Posted 16 February Or Martin’s first match in charge when he gets appointed in the coming days? 1
Chelmofox Posted 16 February Posted 16 February To coin a cliche, its a must win. They are on the slide. Not a better opportunity. 3
fazzyfox Posted 17 February Posted 17 February Or Filbert’s “last man (well fox) standing” first in charge
Rubbersoul Posted 17 February Posted 17 February These aren’t very great at all now. Been dropping off for a while. Of course still better than us but hopefully we can see a small bounce under Rowett.

Pliskin Posted 17 February Posted 17 February 3-1, were just fragile as **** and I can’t see us getting a win anytime soon.
Bourbon Fox Posted 17 February Posted 17 February I'd love to think that there'll be an instant lifting of the cloud of failure that surrounds the squad, but i haven't seen anything to suggest that's possible 1
StanSP Posted 17 February Posted 17 February Hopefully the ever obliging Stoke turn up and allow Rowett a win against his old club...
brookfox Posted 17 February Posted 17 February Can see us struggling against Rory Delap’s long throws, I’d take a draw. 2

Jazzy_Jeff Posted 17 February Posted 17 February They are supposedly without over 10 players, huge opportunity and I think playing away from home at the moment suits us. I would go with: Begovic Ricardo Okoli Nelson Kristensen Winks Skipp Aribo Fatawu Daka Mavididi Stolarcyzk, Aluko, Thomas, Page, Mukasa, Richards, Monga, Thomas, Ayew 1
AKCJ Posted 17 February Posted 17 February Begovic Aluko Okoli Nelson Kristiansen Fatawu Skipp Aribo Mavididi Mukasa Daka 4
Foxin_Mad Posted 17 February Posted 17 February We need to not be playing Okoli if we want any hope of winning. He is not a footballer.

Only other option would be Kevon Gray partnering Nelson. That's a very inexperienced, young center back pairing for such a monumentally important game! - But I agree, Okoli is pants

I'd be more confident if we were seven up at half time. Edited 17 February by Bourbon Fox

The problem is, you could say this about a lot of them. Thomas, VK, Riccy (old version), Daka, Ayew, Okoli, Vestergaard. No matter what, Rowett is going to have to include at least 2 players in his starting line up we would rather do without.

I honestly can't fathom the amount of people who would prefer him to play over Vestergaard. I'm far from Vestergaard's biggest fan but he can defend and pass a ball. I don't want us to play like we do but that suits how the club insist we play.

Vestergaard cant jump, is a poor defender, and is the slowest footballer i have ever seen. I presume there was hope that Okoli could do the running bit and defend ok. Sadly, for whatever reason, Okoli cant run nor can he defend. The fact we have both being paid good money is terrible.
