Kristiansen, Thomas, Nelson, Skipp, Okoli have all looked better than this playing for other clubs in recent years. Mavididi and Winks looked better for this club two years ago. Even Daka scored for fun in an RB Salzburg team that would probably beat us now. My point is: It's not about ability. The players aren't terrible. It's not even about coaching. We've had SO many managers and still no change. This is about confidence, mentality, psychology, attitude. They are playing WITH fear, not without. How do you change that? It is coaching. Yeah we've had loads of managers but most of them have coached the team terribly
Topman Posted 21 February Posted 21 February Someone need to tell Monga, he can pass you know not playing football with friends at school and try to dribble pass everyone 2
beepee1984 Posted 21 February Posted 21 February You have to feel for Monga there, breaks and looks up and thinks I could pass to Mavididi, no that would be a waste I could pass to Daka, no that would be a waste, I could turn and pass back to Winks, no that would be a waste

Probably the players know it too another manager here today gone tomorrow. Yet another bad decision to add to the ever growing list, just can't help thinking could have been so different if got a decent manager at the start of the season. Its almost as if Top wants us to go down to league one as his way out of the club. How would giving him 18 months be better? His pay day would just be higher when we inevitably sack at the end of the season. Being in charge of two clubs that both end up relegated in the same season, one of which has the highest wage bill in the league, will surely be a blot in his book, so clubs won't come calling straight away. Rowett has more to gain by doing a good job with us.

Lookatthebluesky Posted 21 February Posted 21 February Looks like Rowett has hard a word in Monga’s ear at HT about his ‘running style’ - probably told him to just a start with the basics and effing run!

Get rid of them then, no resilience. This isn’t a 6 game run, this has been years
hizit Posted 21 February Posted 21 February Does anyone know how old Monga is? The Stoke commentators are not sure.
coolhandfox Posted 21 February Posted 21 February Monga need to do that more, drive away from people, whe he let's defenders close he loses the physical battle.

FoxyPalace.com Posted 21 February Posted 21 February This is the outcome of many years - Poor purchases and lack of investment. I mean they let Vardy leave and believe DAKA can spearhead the attack. Deluded These owners have no business sense whatsoever ! No structure - No Monk can save us from relegation. No King Power we do not love you long time you bunch of cretins. Disgrace FRO

moseeds Posted 21 February Posted 21 February That Monga run summed up the team. Monga does a great run. But Daka doesn't know what to do. Eventually realises he has to make a diagonal run but it's too late by then. He doesn't run soon enough to take his man with him giving Monga no option to shoot and then he does make a run but it's now narrowed his own angle. Then Monga recovers the ball - again excellent work - only for Winks to smash it into a Stoke player, after which they break. Skipp did great work in tracking down. Absolute clowns. You'd never know this team has been playing together for over 3 years now.
STUHILL Posted 21 February Posted 21 February Just now, jayfox26 said: Football is on its arse and we are the massive turd coming out of said arse. Players paid too much with no consequences of how poorly they play. The whole of football needs sorting out with wage caps and performance based pay. Its absolutely disgusting that fans pay so much of their hard earned money to watch these overpaid tossers, not give a flying fck. Its not about winning or losing, its basic effort, pride, fight and the very basic of actually being fit to be able to play a 90 minute match. I genuinely hate most of these players and they are by far the worst group we've had in the 30+ years I've been watching LCFC. IF we don't go bankrupt (BIG if)... then dropping to league 1 with a (forced) complete clear out of these overpaid losers, could be the best thing that ever happens to us. The fact that some of these players are on so much money and getting to show up to 5* Spa levels at Seagrave, is an absolute travesty. Even if we have to pay off some of their contracts to get rid of them in the Summer, we absolutely should. This will be a multi year rebuild, but the longer we delay it, the further we fall and put the future of the club at risk. 1
clownfox Posted 21 February Posted 21 February Oh my god we actually did it. We scored a ****ing goal.
