:dunno:

He also played for OH Leuven for three years.

Good to see that Rudkin is still using his vast network of connections in the game.

Bloke must have a contacts list of about four people.

I was getting my hopes up.
Will it be Gallardo or Almeyda??
No just one of our ex coaches.
We really do look far and wide for managers…….

I'm guessing he didn't realise that...cause otherwise that unproven assistant comment looks VERY silly.

I realised that but I don’t think the desperation to get out of the Championship is quite a weighty as it is to get out of League One.

I'm not expecting to blitz L1 after what we've been subject to this past two seasons. Until we hear genuine or weighty links, I'm not putting much stock in any of these names being banded about. We can't trust this board to act in a timely manner and they've not learnt from past failings so I'm unenthused by it all currently!

If his name was William Caballero and he managed Salford everyone on here would be loving this

this usually works better when fans are turning their nose up at Managers who have been around the block a few times, but still have a better record than the unknowns that fans seems to love and over fantasise about.

Karel Geraerts has established a reputation for working with and developing young, often previously unknown talents, placing high value on training-camp call-ups from club academies.

That sounds interesting for us and our position then.

Wonder if McCarron has come across him as well?

Much rather give it to Gary Rowett than a bloody foreigner, he’ll keep us up

Can see top and rudkin thinking that if caballero come in we would play ‘enzo ball’ again. I wonder if it was him who we tried to get to come in when we got rowett and press got it wrong? Maybe caballero wanted a fresh start with full pre season to shape things, similar to how Enzo got to assemble his squad here?

It’s time something was sorted out one way or another

Are the PSR rules different in league one, so we could put down money to rebuild and be attractive to a potential new manager?

Yes. As far as I know, they work off of revenue as opposed to financial losses so we can only spend 60% of what we bring in.

It doesn't really make a difference though because any losses would immediately be considered if we went back up.

It’s 85% in your first year down, not 60%.

Championship clubs are voting tomorrow on whether to switch to the squad cost ratio. If it goes through, there will be no return to PSR even if we go straight back up.

Iv just heard on the grapevine with Eddie Howes future up in the air.......Jason Tindall may well be a name keep an eye on

Anyone that call themselves "mad dog" should be given a wide berth imo. Plus his kids ruined a fancy dinner I had with my wife when he was at Bournemouth so I'm not having him, not one bit.

Interesting.

So in theory.... if it WAS voted through, could we sell players for massive losses or even release them to get their wages of the wage bill and not fall foul of the rules? If so, it would make it easier to meet the cost ratio and start a rebuild without being stuck with the dead wood.

Finally we’ve supposedly looked abroad at different managers.
All it’s took is a new director of football.
What the fvck we have been doing with persisting with Rudkin god knows.
Shame we’re doing it in league 1 when we should have been looking abroad when Rodgers was fvcking everything up.

I seem to remember that Ranieri and Maresca had quite decent seasons managing City?
