Looking at who’s leaving their job’s in the premiership and the assistant coaches who we could realistically get.

Jason Tindall

Paddy McCarthy

Tommy Elphick

McCarthy has previous experience with us as a player and has worked with the palace youth set up.
Tindall is assistant at Newcastle and although Howe hasn’t said he’s going maybe Tindall would be tempted.
He has previously managed Bournemouth for a short period.

Elphick is assistant at Bournemouth and is one of the favourites for the Bristol City job.

I could see us targeting the other 2.
We’ve got no chance if Bristol City want him.
They’ll look at what Davies did at Birmingham a couple of seasons ago and think it can be replicated with someone similar.

Mark Robins may soon part company with Stoke according to some sources. Should be high on any shortlist I would have thought?

And as for the Southampton manager, reputation tarnished maybe. But his success with that team can't all be attributed to an analyst with an iphone. Who says no?

The FA most likely.

Given the stringent rules in League One, I have to question decision making if we were to employ a manager on the wages Robins would likely command.

Isn’t Robins supposed to be far less impressive when he’s not being assisted by Adi Viveash, with whom he had a major falling out and is therefore very unlikely to reunite with?

Potentially yes, but even if he was still pretty nifty without i'd be very careful at paying the wages he'd command.

How many teams would be after him?

if have thought his salary demands would be starting to drop.

Bristol City seem to be linked with a different manager every day according to media / bookies / rumours. It was Carsley yesterday who was meant to be a done deal.

I'd just like us to get linked with one manager. Any manager would do. Ideally before August.

Maybe, but think he'd still be a big option for most Championship middle of the road teams.

Rudders is on a cruise at the minute, no rush he has a well planned plan

Jesus if we can’t afford mark robins wages who the hell are we getting in as gaffer ? You really reckon robins is on decent money at Stoke - surely not - he hasn’t ever done anything at all at any level with anyone

Hantavirus outbreak on his cruise ship. He's having to isolate for 8 weeks, hence the delay in any announcements regarding manager and players.

I think there will be plenty of Championship clubs interested in him, but if Eckert gets the boot over the spygate stuff, we should definitely move heaven and earth to try and get him.

Also hearing Robins is on the verge of being sacked? Again, I'm sure there'll be Championship interest, and I'm not certain if he'd actually want to drop down to League 1. But surely you have to ask the question?

Robins, not sure about to be honest. Other than Cov and his 1st job at Rotherham his record is sketchy isn't it?

Get that Southampton manager and his team in as soon as they get the sack I say, we need that win at all costs mentality

Journalists suggesting he’ll receive a ban ranging from 6 to 18 months for his part in Spygate.

l doubt he’d fancy working in this country again, even if it was possible.
