Yeah, come back when you’ve stopped a forest fire in the Aussie outback with a water pistol, then you are ready for us.

But here's the thing.  Fans want an experienced manager who is proven to be a decent manager, assuming said manager doesn't currently work and would like to come to a League One club in that has very little money to spend and are fresh on the back of a double relegation.

The job could be a good job for an up and coming manager.  It's a gamble for anyone and someone with a proven track record shouldn't really touch us.  Fuchs fits the up and coming category (he isn't the only one).

The only other category that would look at us is someone looking to rescue their career after one or two disasters (Russell Martin anyone? :frusty:)

Think the reason for the delay in naming the new manager, is he’s got to finish the season off at Bournemouth first.

That’s how deluded Aiyawatt is

He’d have scored more than Daka and Ayew last season if we’d have played him In the 9!

When you say very little money to spend, it's most likely more than the rest of L1 combined.

I think you're making some strong points here. Like you've said, we have to be realistic about the type of manager we would attract. None of them will be a sure bet. Winning in League One is less about tactics and more about creating a team culture that can grind out results, build a team that fights for one another and for the club. I really think Fuchs has that in spades. Captain of Austria, over 400+ games in top level football. He would be an immediate culture reset for us in a good way. Surrounded by some good assistant coaches it could work.

The problem with Dudkin being at the wheel and his defined strategy for sustainable success is whatever money we have we will most likely piss it up the wall on weak as piss useless tippy tappy bell ends!

The assistant coaches is my fear.

Liam Manning as just left Huddersfield Town following taking some compassionate leave. Quite impressed the job he did at Bristol City, not so much at Norwich. Maybe he would be better in league one, ofc depends if hes looking to some time out of football for a bit.

I can't see him taking on a job like this in his situation.

Manning added: "Stepping down from Huddersfield Town has been a difficult decision, but one I feel is best for the club, my family and myself at this time.

"It has been a privilege to manage this team and be a part of this community. I am grateful to the fans for their support and compassion in recent months."

Froze out Alves when their fans frequently commented how much better they were when he'd get those rare minutes on the pitch

Is that really the manager we'd want to build a team around our youth?

Bristol City?! Their fans did'nt shed a tear when he left. Most didn't like his style.

Litterally one of the biggest frauds out there.

Horrible news that he is available, as this is exactly the sort of appointment we are likely to make.

But what if the club knows who it wants but is not in a position to appoint them until after the play-off situation has been resolved or the new financial year has begun?

If the club has any ambition or structure they will have already identified a couple of targets and got some background on the management style both on the pitch and off it ....which most professional set ups would do ... however the last few previous appointments seem to have been either knee jerk or desperation ... contracts end on the 30th June ... so anything later than the first week in July shows they do not have a clue ... which their track record over the past few years is probably nearer the truth

I certainly agree that if we've not made an appointment by early July it will strongly indicate they've completely bungled it yet again.
