It's often quiet at this time of year - any managers in post are on holiday/don't want to be bothered. The industry in general slows down, especially with players away and the World Cup etc. And as discussed at length - this appointment is so important and the situation the club finds itself in makes it all the more challenging to getting it right - we need someone who can lift the feeling and morale from rock bottom, oversee a huge squad rebuild, make use of youth, instill a completely new ethos and mindset and finish top 2 at the first time of asking. Talking our time to get it right is no bad thing (obviously the club could be doing this, or they could be taking aging to make Yet Another Terrible AppointmentTM, or they could be doing nothing). What I think is unforgivable is the general radio silence over the wider situation. There should have been some sort of statement to acknowledge the failings of the last 4-5 years, the double relegation, the financial worries etc - some sort of attempt to provide assurances to the fans that there is some sort of plan and some sort of attempt to set things right. I’m amazed that fans are still expecting a huge turn around in activity, like Aiyawatt is going to just wake up one day and realise oh we’d better do something. 12

Another season of Rudkin making the decisions off the field and Vestergaard making them on the pitch. Let’s try for a third season, it may work. These same players struggled against a L1 team in the cup. One press and shoulder barge and we are left one on one with a keeper who is either too scared/thick/poor at the basics. I would love a Top redemption arc but that would require something he hasn’t been able to see, is too scared and/or arrogant to make a change. It won’t happen so I won’t even think on it. Rudkin will stay in place along with whatever dodgy deals with the agent for their cast off players and injured loan players. 4

Exactly this. He’s done **** all to remedy anything over the last few years, Enzo bailed him out, but other than that it’s been shit on shit. Im expecting this summer to be exactly the same as the last. No players in, and no manager confirmed by the time the players report back to training. 4
CrispinLA in Texas Posted 4 June Posted 4 June I'm beyond caring now....every week goes by I'm losing interest in the club. Even spending less time on fixed talk...I just usually skip through it now, nothing really changes 😔 4
floz Posted 4 June Posted 4 June Nixon says Martin is on holiday in Mallorca but expected to arrive in Leicester soon. 🤬

There that should stop him. 2

Interception, long ball, 1-0 down. Pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass. Loss. Post match interview about football philosophy.
Unabomber Posted 4 June Posted 4 June Obviously we are not getting Martin ffs show Top and Rudkin some respect. Sometimes this forum…. 2

winteriscoming Posted 4 June Posted 4 June So Liverpool sacked Slot on Saturday and have hired Iraola today. Less than a week to get a replacement in. Surely that’s not allowed? Don’t they realize you have to waste all summer? 2
winteriscoming Posted 4 June Posted 4 June I’m still hopeful it won’t be Martin. If Percy reports that it’ll be Martin then we are truly fvcked.

les-tah Posted 4 June Posted 4 June (edited) What the fvck is our bizarre fetish with Russell martin about?!? That style of football is horrible and we literally won the prem playing opposite to it and if you ever make to the prem then unless you are the Top 6 with 100s million to spend it wont end well. Muzzy_no7 Posted 4 June Author Posted 4 June In all seriousness. What do we reckon is happening at the club at the moment? Are Rudkin and Mccarron meeting daily? is Top in the loop? Is Glover actively compiling a list for each position on the field? Have Hughes and Sadler been told to F*** off? Are Spudders and Mccarron speaking to any GK coach and Fitness coaches? Is anything actually happening?

I don’t think we realise that when this nightmare is finally over and we get an owner that’s just half decent it’s going to feel so full on, the feel good factor will probably be far greater than it really is because of this dross we have to put up with

foxfanazer Posted 4 June Posted 4 June Hard to think we could be more detestable as a club but Russell Martin definitely adds to that 1
