So on one thread we’ve got people saying the club is already essentially bankrupt, and will inevitably cease to exist in a couple of years.  Then on another thread we’ve got people saying that no one should buy tickets, so that we can starve the club of funds and force Top out.  But surely if the club is already set for closure, what’s the point in boycotting games?  We might as well make the most of football while we can?   After all, if it’s already a done deal, what’s the point of any kind of protest?

So tell me, which of the multitude of experts on here is correct?

What point are you making in this word salad? Please try again

Through the good times and the bad...people will be singing this when we are fighting relegation  from league 1 next season.

But atleast they got rid of the plastic fans from 2016 and they are all hardcore...all 7,000 of them...

You can throw your annoyance at Rodgers. But his actual point, with or without him after the Forest game was bang on. The squad needed a refresh. Player trading needed to be done

Yeah you’re right

Barnes

Soyuncu

Maddison

Tielemans

KDH

All their careers immediately regressed after leaving Leicester

Sorry, it’s a facetious post against someone who posts a lot of sense. I’m just furious

You’re wrong on this though. And even if you were right, sacking the manager rather than trusting him in the transfer market to do said refresh was the correct way to go

The club needs a major reset. I would be happy to see the back of every single one of these c*nts, players, manager, coaching staff, owner & the board.

If we could go down and do what we did 17 years ago, or what Birmingham did last season it would actually be a positive for the club moving forwards but I wouldn’t trust this club to get the manager, recruitment or any of it right this time around.

And they would have been replaced if we actually did some scouting.

Don't think the penny has dropped for some that we dont do any scouting, just pay agents, hence why we're always high on agent fees. And why we buy a load of stinking players.

Maddison has been in 2 relegation battles since he left the club. And Soyuncu is playing in Turkey. Hardly good examples.

We're blaming Brendan Rodgers who left over 3 years ago for the state of the club. We honestly have the thickest fanbase going.

I genuinely believe Brendan Rodgers was the beginning of the end. That poisonous **** should be blamed for a lot of this. That and that little boy Top who couldn’t run a bath.

Still shocked why there aren’t people running onto the pitch

hi I’ll do you a favour and put your post next to mine since I started the discussion. Not sure where anyone said Rodgers is explicitly and solely the reason… but then again I am “thick”

that forest game was the start of the whole downfall - something hasn't felt the same since

Park your Rodgers dislike to aside, he was right. I wouldn’t have trusted him with the signings but that’s not my point.

That squad needed a refresh. We had Colwell ready to sign but the club dallied. Then Fofana went and we signed ****ing Faes. Tielemans wasn’t showing any interest in signing a new deal, we needed to sell and sort out a replacement

There were players who started that day who were not good enough for the Premier League let alone, top half. Ward, Amartey, Thomas. The bench was wank.

I’d argue two out of five as well you’ve stated have gone backwards as players. Particularly Soyuncu.

The club died when Tops Father died. Top ain't even half the man his dead was. He (Top) has distorted his(his father) legacy. Never been so disappointed with this club! This has to be worse than the last time we went to league 1.

Much as the idiot child has turned the club into his mausoleum, it didn't die that day. Everything was avoidable but for dumb and dumber in charge actively choosing the wrong thing at every turn

The erosion of standards.

And the biggest exposure that people at the football club didn’t really get ‘football’ but they absolutely loved being part of a non challenged worship organisation.

It’ll be OK.  Of course LCFC will continue.  So much hysteria here!

If you can explain how we can function losing £40-50m as a standard in league one, with revenue that won’t surpass that loss…. Then you probably should apply for a job in the finance team.

no we won't. We'll have basically no one left after this summer, rats leaving the sinking ship

You realise what an absolutely desperate situation we are in when you look at the size of the squad we will be paying through the close season. Even after getting rid of everyone out of contract by my count there’s 28 or 29 players you’d think would train with the first team. That’s absolutely horrific. All very well saying that they are a load of mercenaries but who’s to say other clubs will want them. We will need to shift at least 10 of these in addition to the out of contract shite before we can even think about adding to the squad with the sort of player we need in this division.  Anyone who thinks next season will be a success is in for a cruel shock.

Don’t forget that Ward was put in goal by Rodgers.

You get rid of Rodgers who (parking aside my hatred of him had definitely lost his ability to manager the club at that point ((it was my view he needed sacking after Warsaw- 6 months before the Forest loss)) for £15m. Or you try and sell those said players- who in fairness to your view had dropped off in performances, and risk replacing them for unknowns- at a far bigger financial risk

The players didn’t need refreshing, they needed a fresh manager.

Rodgers was the most destructive manager we’ve ever had. That’s why Top was wrong for having faith in him.

He had the best squad we’ve ever had, one that absolutely should have finished 3rd twice. He was allowed to bring his own scout and players in, which is what ruined us most of all. The money we spent under him was disastrous.

Worst of all, the club’s lack of self-respect stems from Rodgers. Before Top was god, people like you were idolising Brendan instead of calling for the sacking which would have saved us. He should have gone the moment we were hammered by Forest in the cup. What other club would accept that sort of thrashing from a lower league local rival, and then him talking down about us?

Yes its his fault we're getting relegated to league one 🤣🤣🤣

⚰️ A Satirical Requiem for Leicester City Football Club

(As performed by a club that has absolutely no idea how it got here, and even less idea how to get out.)

We gather here today to mourn the passing of Leicester City Football Club, taken from us far too soon by a series of unfortunate events, poor decisions, and the occasional defender who appeared to be allergic to marking.

The club’s final years were marked by:

  • Transfer windows that resembled a car boot sale at 3pm — everything overpriced, nothing useful, and someone walking off with your best player for a fiver.

  • Tactical plans that changed more often than the King Power’s pie supplier.

  • Managers who arrived full of hope and left looking like they’d aged in dog years.

  • Defending that was so experimental it should have come with a government warning.

Leicester is survived by:

  • Fans who still insist “we’re a sleeping giant” while nervously checking the League One table.

  • A stadium that once hosted Champions League football and now hosts existential dread.

  • A recruitment department that swears it will “learn lessons”, despite clear evidence to the contrary.

Cause of death:

  • A tragic cocktail of hubris, chaos, and the Premier League’s annual tradition of kicking the little guy in the shins.

  • A midfield that dissolved under mild pressure.

  • And, of course, the classic Leicester ailment: “We’ll sort it out next season.” Spoiler: they did not.

The funeral procession will begin at Filbert Way, followed by a wake at the nearest pub, where supporters will raise a glass and say things like:

  • “Remember when we won the league?”

  • “Remember when we were good?”

  • “Remember when we had a functioning defence?”

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ‘Please, Not Another Rebuild’ Fund, or directly to the nearest centre for traumatised football fans.

May the Foxes rest in peace — or at least rest in mid‑table, which would be a start.

A sad but inspired post that comes from the heart,I feel your pain.

Top will have to put his own money in if he doesn’t want to sell.  That’s allowed in League 1.

Look guys, it will all be over very soon. In a week or maybe two.

The pain will end and we can look forward to an exciting season plotting trips to Orient, Stockport and Wigan.
