We should be careful what we wish for.

I worry that the club will just assume it'll be like the last time we went down. I'm not seeing anything to suggest we're taking the situation seriously. Momentum is massive in football and League 1 is probably the best example where good momentum will get you promoted and bad momentum that isn't stopped will get you relegated.

I've never been Valley Parade so actually looking forward to this.

For the past decade or so I've been wishing for them in the Cup every season but now it's a league fixture, thanks to King Power for that :teehee:

It a 5 mile trip for me rather 200 round trip to Leicester. Only possible can think of . Don’t get excited about coming to Bradford. Trust me

It is supposed to be a really good away trip, although I have never been. Looks like they allocate up to 1800

Be a proper scrum for away tickets next season.

I wouldn't fancy us against Stockport but Stevenage are a terrible side. My step dad is a sth at Wigan and he said they are by far the worst team they played this season.

I've seen Stevenage a few times when going with my grandson. They aren't a free flowing side but very gritty and hard working. Rather typical of the division I think.

In 2016, I remember going past Stockport going back to uni in Manchester after winning the league.

You could see their stadium from the train. Stockport were on the verge on ceasing to exist and struggling in the conference north. I thought, wow Leicester were in same league in 2009, crazy how much football changes and how different football club Stockport and Leicester now were. We would be playing Sevilla and Atleti next year; they would be playing Bradford Park Avenue and FC United.

10 years later Stockport are likely to be in a division above Leicester.

Two things are true: (i) our clubs has been run disgustingly, (ii) football in England changes and develops at speed like no other sporting system can compare to.

I'd be surprised if they didn't. They've got the we'll be fine mentality absolutely ingrained. The sight of Cambridge United and Burton Albion isn't going to mend that.

I would be genuinely surprised if there was a club official working today.

We'll be fine. We have nothing to worry about. I'm sure they're working on it.

You have to be specific with statements like this. The people in charge might take us the wrong way out again.

You joke ….

Can anyone tell me, in practical terms, how today's EFL vote will actually effect us next season, should it be passed??

I am guessing that whilst it should stop the club from taking us deeper into debt and push us towards a more sustainable model going forward (presuming we eventually start to comply with said regulations). In the short term it would limit any potential financial advantage we may have over other League One clubs next season??

I work with a northern club that was non league a few years ago and now only one division separates us.

Both insane and disgusting

Just in time for our arrival! But nah, the rules are looser, we're just going to spend our way out of the league eh KPFC gang? Absolutely no way in hell we comply even with the extra 15% leeway, let alone make wholesale squad changes through the transfer market.

Looks like its largely dependent on what Top will be able to put in to decide just how tight it will be. Potentially another consideration on the manager front, if their wages are accounted for then maybe something else we waiting to hear on.

I reckon only 8-9 of last year's senior squad will be here next season.

Am I right in saying that, unless Aiyawatt (or a new owner :fc:) gets his wallet out, we're pretty much ****ed?

But if he does, we'll be alright?

Am I understanding this correctly in that this causes even more of an issue for us next season in that we won't have as much salary head room that we would have done if the rules hadn't been changed i.e. 75% down to 65% and even if Top could bank-roll like Wrexham and Birmingham, he and King Power can't input has much in as they could have done previously?
