Imagine you have got a huge role of material with quite a varied pattern on, no supplier ever would sit there and ensure it’s cut at the same point, and then badges attached to the exact same part

 

I can give you about 40 different examples from my own collection, it doesn’t happen.

I'd imagine they have rolls of material with that pattern and they just cut it in the most efficient way.

For the record, I totally get what you're saying. And the example you've provided above, is exactly where I would agree with you in terms of the deviation on the pattern (and kind of makes sense of the shirt). It's an asymmetrical pattern

 

But in this particular case, you're talking about a very large Fleur de lys that appears a few places on the shirt, with the clear intent that it has some form of symmetry. So if that then appears massively off centre, it's going to look odd.

 

And of course the caveat here is that I'm simply going off pictures, rather than seeing it in the flesh. If even you're spot on here, my original point would still stand to some extent as these 2 shirts were picked for show, so kind of bizarre you wouldn't try and get 2 identical, or close to identical shirts for the launch

i honestly thought it was yellow and blue when courtois had the same template last week

its also likely they will give us one more alternative in the trefoil GK stuff - most teams get given 2 trefoil GK designs
