Brazil could actually low key do very well. It’s the first World Cup in decades where nobody fancies them, they have the best CB’s in the competition and if Vini and Cunha find form they’ll be very dangerous. Plus probably the best manager.

I think the Scottish FA gave Clark a 4 year before the WC kicked off.

They play grim football, they stunk the place out!!

I do feel for the fans of countries like Scotland who will be paying through the nose to stay out there without even knowing if they're through. Another reason to scrap the 3rd place system.

It wasn't in the playoffs, it was the group they won. It was effectively the group decider though.

That's it, I was mixed up cus it felt like a play off.

 

Denmark then lost to Czechia in the play offs :thumbup:

Since the WC is in the states, I'll allow myself a little dip into American sports parlance. Scotland are truly the most snakebit country in international football history.

Heading home today from Miami and a fantastic few days on manoeuvers with the Tartan Army.

Despite the turgid and frankly embarrassing display from the team, it's all over bar the last wee swally.

Now we look forward to Burton Albion and Notts County 🤔

The Scotland fans on here have been a credit to their nation, acting with decorum and dignity throughout the tournament

 

Unfortunately, as someone who had their heart broken by the great granddaughter of Motherwell's all time top scorer 3 years ago (he got a winner for Cardiff in an FA Cup final n all) I can safely say their humiliating exit has been a real positive of this World Cup. I'm a petty petty man

It's a quite remarkable run, never playing a knock out game in a major tournament. For a country that can legitimately claim to be the home of football as much as England. Can't think of anything else like it in any sport.
