You can't judge Coventry on the first game of the season against the reigning champions. 

 

Wolves played Man City first game last season and lost 0-3 and we errr..... erm......

Meh, we got those sort of back-handed, patronising compliments all the time in the Great Escape season. It's pretty normal for newly-promoted clubs to get the old 'ooh didn't you do well' treatment. Soon wears off once you're a yo-yo club though, just ask Burnley.

 

Cov though? Nah, patronise them all you can. They don't have the brain capacity to detect it and will probably go down thinking how nice everyone was to them. Bastards.

We didn't play bad in the great escape season we just couldn't find a way to win at one point, was always in a game l.

 

Wd didn't lose by 3 goals once

We had 100x more excitement, success and memorable moments than them in the top flight just those few O'Neil years, nevermind all that came later. Novelty value to add the usual patronising tone because they've been away so long.
