Poor from the officials in VAR there - lazy work or just not focused for long enough. 

It sounds like they are trying to not let it take too long, he repeatedly says quick and let's go. I imagine if they take their time they come to the right outcome but too focused on rushing it through.

Had a quick delve into all myself and it very much feels like a lot of this is coming from his dad, with his dad wanting him to be the exact thing he never was (although he did play professionally).

They often  seem to do half the job and think that is it so don’t bother checking everything.

It’s not like Man U were totally hard done to given they should have been down to 10 men too. 

And they benefitted from a similar goal in this fixture several years ago.

It’s not like Man U were totally hard done to given they should have been down to 10 men too. 

Probably because they rolled out all the audio which I doubt would have happened had it been a game between two lesser teams .

I always thought it was weird how Carrick couldn’t get Middlesbrough into the play offs, aside from the season when he took over mid way through, but walked into the Man Utd job.

 

Just seen on their forum they were booed off as well, which is probably a rarity at Old Trafford, so can’t see it ending well.

Carrick has been thrown under a bus and set up to fail by the Man U board. Finished 3rd despite inheriting a poor start last season which is the best the club could do with that squad so had to be kept on reluctantly to appease the fans. Summer arrives and barely any support from the board to that of Arsenal and Man City.

 

The class of 92 tw ats will be absolutely loving this.

Carrick is similar to Ole, good as an interim but not a long term option. I'm not convinced the United wanted him long term, think it was more fan demand as a lot were pleased how he managed team in the second half of the season.

 

Interim is easier job than long term when required to build a team. In terms of transfers Carricks choices were questionable. I think signing 29 year old Youri Tielemans i found a strange one, considering his time at Villa he was always in and out the starting xi.

They'll go the other way. Probably missed the boat on getting a big name who's doing well given we're only just coming out of summer and they won't be able to spend money for a while. 

 

A Howe or something probably makes sense, highly experienced in the League, shithouse style of play which works, will likely play his position for a while rather than demand extravagances.

 

Carrick was obviously a short term fix. Bizarre moves from Man U.

It just seems a cycle of getting an ex player in and doing well half way through the season and then failing the start of the following season. Like Ole did although he was there a bit longer than that. 
They have tried the other approach with a big name like Jose and Van Gaal. 
I just don’t think they’re are as good as they think they are. Which is great.

They've not had a quality line up for so long, and they really miss a great striker too, none in the same catergory as Ronaldo, Rooney, Van Persie, Nistelrooy, Yorke etc...until they get that they aint winning the league.

 

I suppose you could argue arsenal did it without, but its pretty rare, you need a haaland or salah to win the league.

This is the problem when they keep hiring ex players from Fergie era trying recreate the past. They need new manage to create their own new identity and playing style. Ruben Amorim wanted create his own style and methods at United but was not allowed by his players and the board, in the end i think he was more than grateful to be sacked, think he knew whilst at United your not allowed to change too many things as it's not the "United Way" Fergie shadow is constantly over looking every manager that walks in.

They should get Keane in only ex player that would get them playing consistently
