People have genuinely just gone for the football, must say I’m a tiny bit jealous of them seemingly having no responsibilities and just going abroad to watch football at little notice

Me and my lad have come out to visit southern Spain and watch the football 2 in1!

Have to say having the hire car was the game changer as we're staying high up in the mountains and could reach Algericas, Marbella, Málaga or even Seville all under 2 hrs from where we are.

I had considered just staying in Algericas in a hotel and feel for those people who have done that - I spoke to a few at the game who had.

On a side note, this part of Spain is off the scale amazing. Especially up here in the mountains, not a person speaks English and the villages are like what you'd expect in a Hollywood portrayal of rural Spain! They're so friendly too.

Interestingly the locals where I am all say that Cadiz is the gem and the place to go over anywhere else.

You chat absolutely waffle.

Name another big club that's had to cancel / rearrange a friendly because theyve accidently booked a sunday league pitch?

Thought not, Tara.

Couldn’t help but smile when I read an article this morning about Brighton cancelling their training camp and tomorrow’s friendly due to pitch concerns.

Hope the hangover is not too bad today, pal.

If that’s the case then yes, I’m jealous too haha. I just struggle to see any benefit of going just solely for watch a preseason game. Competitively then yes, 100% would be annoyed and disappointed at venue changes etc.

Puerto Banus is about as upmarket as it gets on the Costas. You might get a decent pint overlooking the Marina but not going to the cheap. I’d rather the League one club had played maybe Harborough Town and invested the travel costs in a striker
