The 27-year-old was relegated with Leicester City last season so is open to a move back up with ambitious Wrexham, who with their Hollywood backers, are looking to push for promotion to the Premier League. The 6ft 6in centre back missed most of last season with an Achilles injury but has battled back to fitness and featured in all three of Australia's group games at the World Cup.
FrankieADZ Posted 28 June Posted 28 June (edited) Keillor-Dunn and Smith + £5mil for Souttar and that would be a fine deal Edited 28 June by FrankieADZ 1
FoxinNotts Posted 28 June Posted 28 June Really want him to give us one more season. Make him captain. Give him some love. Some of the mangers we've had, have treated him pretty shabbily IMO 4
Foxes96 Posted 28 June Posted 28 June No chance he stays, so could do with some sort of bidding war to recoup a fee for him. Think he would suit Wrexhams back 3 set up as well. 1
DAS Boot Posted 28 June Posted 28 June Deffo gonna get injured again so need to get that Hollywood dollar before it’s too late. 1
CarolinaFox Posted 28 June Posted 28 June What's the deal with Wrexham taking all of our old players...how many would that be now? Coady, Matty James, Lewis Brunt, Danny Ward, Callum Doyle (although he was a loan with us) and now possibly Souttar! Guess we're just a Wrexham feeder club now.
Popular Post Fox92 Posted 28 June Popular Post Posted 28 June Can't be true because of the amount of posts I saw saying he will be going to Sheffield United 1 4
Tuna Posted 28 June Posted 28 June Would love to keep him, but he's not really a Martin ball player is he.
Cropwellfox Posted 28 June Posted 28 June Decent move for him, if he’s going we need to get it done as soon as possible, nobody in their right mind is going to want Faes or Vestergaard so we sadly need at least one of Souttar or Nelson to be off the books quickly
Popular Post coolhandfox Posted 28 June Popular Post Posted 28 June (edited) I just think we would be better off getting what we can, and reinvesting in a younger player. 27 and he's played 159 league games, to many niggles and injuries. Edited 28 June by coolhandfox 6
ALC Fox Posted 28 June Posted 28 June Some players get over their long-term injuries and go on to have a good career. He's definitely too good for League One and get the feeling he could be in that mould of player that, if fit, would help us dominate the division and do well again in the Championship. But, I do understand the risks that come with his injury history. Plus we need all the Dosh we can get so understand if we decide to cash in now when he's about to play in a World Cup knockout game.

I actually think his ball playing ability is underrated, at this level as well he'd absolutely piss it. But his injury history, less than a year on his contract and his wages mean we will try and cash in on him. Think he'll go for about £3m. 7

Gazza M Posted 28 June Posted 28 June Cash in. He's had his time and to be honest treated him quite poorly. Never shown we have really wanted him since Maresca arrived.
Cropwellfox Posted 28 June Posted 28 June How does a swap deal work re remaining book value? If we are interested in any of their players is that a way we can navigate departure without incurring a book value loss on him?

You seldom see swap deals anymore, quite possibly for this reason.

Will1981 Posted 28 June Posted 28 June We will probably have to pay most of his wages like with Coady.
