That has no relevance to what I said

What I added does..  we bottled it… had the game once we scored and bottled it. Don’t get me wrong they are determined don’t give up, experienced..  but we did bottle it

Obviously Argentina stepped up their game after conceding but we could not win and keep the ball. Invited too much pressure. Truth be told there have been long passages of play in the other games where we struggled and could have lost. France had one bad game and went out while we could easily lost in the previous round to Norway and we would been picking the bones out of that match rather than tonight

its simples

we went out cos we went one nil up and then our manager thought we should then just sit and try and defend, and then we loat

blame is on Tuchel. He ahould go.............

I hope the Spanish absolutely batter the Argies..............

Even Demarai Gray knew to head to the corner and get the clock ticking down. We had no outlet and the tactic seemed to be hold a line with a lot of players. Argentina then had 4 or 5 players with scope to pass into the box unhindered. We were tactically undone, possibly by ourselves. Jude Bellingham covered a lot of distance but failed to make the block. Few others saw the shooting opportunity. Argentina won’t have it so easy against Spain.

I like how you often succinctly and dispassionately sum up the situation while the rest of us are shouting into the void.

Anyone says that Argentina are so superior that we can’t even step up and get the ball are being stupid.. look Argentina are world class, they are experienced.. let’s face it the last 30 mins felt like non-league team holding on against a pl team in the fa cup..

I genuinely think Argentina were there for the taking on the counter attack.

It felt like Tuchel had no clue how to react after we went 1-0 up.

I don't think it even crossed his mind how we could get a second and third and kill off the game.

Yes, we made substitutions and then let make loads of crosses into the box filled with “defenders”, instead of stopping the crosses from coming in…

Are the FA hiring managers on the basis that they must sit back and try and defend 1 goal leads otherwise you are out the door or something?

That's genuinely the only explanation I can think of at this point

Didn't seem to occur to Tuchel to cut off the supply line of crosses rather than hoping we could head them all away. As soon as Gordon was taken off I was worried with so much time left. Could have Watkins stretched the Argies?

There should be a huge bonus written into the contract, that pays out only if the Manager wins games by more than 1 goal.

I am so fed up of decades of English Managers and players having this same pathetic mentality of trying to hold onto leads no matter what.

Why did we give him a new contract pre world-cup.

We seem that it’s no improvement… and I stand by that Tuchel is more negative than Southgate. We never got outclassed like that

This needs to stop, it needs to end… it makes us look like cowards and pathetic

Within two minutes of us scoring, Kane was playing in midfield. He should have been told stay up front, or replaced. Konsa didn't come on until 17 min after our goal. We were already hanging on but that change just made the defeat more inevitable

His pass out to the Argentine defender - which then fell to Rice -  before our goal, came from quite deep in midfield. So he was playing in midfield before we scored.

I really felt Tuchel was the man… but all those friendlies those games when we didn’t play well.. those people were right not good enough. Going to say it,  that performance was worse than anything Southgate put together. Tuchel isn’t the man to inspire this team to change the mentality… I saw against Norway the fear, the sitting back, and they aren’t as good either the ball like Argentina

It's been an England thing since Rooney. Used to piss me off no end that Rooney spent so much time deep. And now Kane does it. They've scored more goals for England than anyone else, but never when it really counts.

That stupid Mike Tyson analogy. Everyone has a plan until they punched in the face.

when we scored, Tuchel decided to stop punching.

the rest is history!

This is fact Tuchel felt the Argentinians are short and couldn’t create chances against our defence with crosses… so he allowed the room for technically some of the best world class players to regularly cross the ball in… you are an idiot Tuchel..  I saw it 5 mins after we scored that we can’t ****ing do that and sit in
