It needs to be pointed out that Cullen played in a front 2 under Brussell with Piroe. As a 9 on his own he is not anywhere near strong enough.

Totally agree on the latter.

Be interesting if we go 2 up top but cant see it with the amount of wide men we have.

Frustrating one. He's basically now got to go and tear it up at Cheltenham to realistically get a chance here next year, when he had already earned that chance

I don't think anybody outside the club knows exactly how much money we have to spend.

Perhaps not but when you hear things on podcasts and read things online and on forum boards about what we are paying out each week/month/quarter it isn't diffult to identify we are in the proverbial poo.

As Ric and the lads eluded to with Charlie Methven on their podcast, if Top is looking for us to be sold for £140m as reported, that's 4 x the average value of a league one club, which highlights where the club is financially and that King Power group could very well be looking at their own finances and thinking they cannot chuck anymore in. For them it's either they get promotion this season and/or cash their chips in before they lose the lot!

You factor into that what we still owe out on transfers (as mentioned on this message board we still owe Spurs for Skipp), we have clowns like Faes on higher wages than most and we can't shift him, we can't shift Mavididi, or BDCR who are for League 1 going to be high earners and we cannot seem to get what we want for Soutts, Okoli or Nelson (before the injury).

I don't see us buying a player for more than £2.5m unless its on a structured deal over a prolonged period. If we are in for Ballard, I would be very shocked we could afford the type of money Orient are asking for, as much as I would love for him to come here as he clearly has a pedigree us fans can get on board with, I just cannot see it

I thought Braybrooke was a season long deal, and we recalled him from Newport but just checked and it wasn't/

Can't remember any loans that we've recalled in the last decade. Thomas was cancelled wasn't he? Can't exactly remember but I don't remember us actively cancelling a loan because we wanted the player back.

That's why we wanted him back for, which is what the question from Sol was . Rather than bringing him back for no reason :)

Well this is one way of solving the “how can we bring in a young Prem striker on loan without blocking the pathway of our own” conundrum!

Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s back in January. I think he’ll smash it depending on how good they are as a team.

We've had a habit in the last few years of holding back players that maybe should be going on loan because we might need them because the squad is so thin.

If Cheltenham are actually going to play him it's a tidy move. He really didn't look ready enough to be starting for us.

Yep, getting players out on loan 18 or 19 is really important.

KDH got his first loan in January at 20 or 21 to Blackpool - I don't believe that he just wasn't ready or any of the other nonsense at 18. This is a player that has moved for about £60m in his career, should have had an England call up, won our POTY and so on. Our players stall because of two years in the legacy Beaglehole penitentiary. If Thomas had the usual Leicester career path rather than first team exposure at 18/19 he'd be playing for Harborough now.

If the the club management knows it signing two strikers this week and we can use Cullen as a third choice option its still idiotic?

If and big, if also what actually shown he can score goals most of the strikers we sign of recent cant so yes I think its a bad move for the club, good for him though

In friendlies, big difference to league games.

Braybrooke was talking in an interview the other day how big the step up is to senior football.

Does it? 😂😂😂 Are you new to LCFC? Hahaha

I mean this would be our approach last year, but there seems to be an improved emphasis on ins and outs this summer. I don't think RM will go into the season without another striker, he knows his reputation is on the line here.
