I was expecting aimless knocking the ball back to where it came from. Looks much more purposeful.

There is no team in league 1 having the quality of Malaga, a part from Oxford.  So looking steady….

Appreciate it’s only pre-season but it’s a breath of fresh air all the same.

Good half in my opinion. Alves looks quicker than I thought he was. Also has a knack of being able to turn quickly on the ball in the a similar mould to how Madison used to be able too. 

 

Just need to put some more zip on those bounce back passes to the defence

Enjoyable first half. I’m not a fan of Russel by any means, but I could be converted if this first half performance is a norm throughout the season.

 

Separate point, but the mics picked up someone on their bench yelling “puta madre” at Alves I think it was. Found that quite funny.
