This is there first pre-season game so their fitness and sharpness is a bit behind Leicester, but we’re playing some tidy stuff tbf.

I mean

 

they are a La Liga side now after getting promoted last season

 

So technically they are hardly Sh**, and we’ve been better, but it’s a friendly match so make of it what you will

 

I think it’s a big positive for us personally

The midfield is definitely putting some good play together and we are pressing well

 

But the Malaga team does consist of mainly backup players and youth, and we are quite a bit further ahead in our preseason in comparison to them

Really good pre-season happy with the layers coming through. I’m optimistic going into this new season. I didn’t want Martin, but I’m well happy for him to learn and prove me wrong and move this club forward again

Have to say that I've been one of Russell Martin's biggest critics but have to admit he's got this lot working brilliantly off the ball. Still got this niggling in the back of the head that friendly games mean different things to different teams. Martin is definitely putting his stamp on the group though and time will tell.

This is the Sammy Braybrooke many of us have been convinced for years we'd see governing our midfield. For those that still celebrate, this is for us.

 

Get this lad a new 5 year deal, he's so good to watch.
