Coulibaly has played primarily on the wing or even lb in pre season surely he would've tried him at RB if he didn't trust the other two Can't say for certain but Joseph has been picked in what appears to be the preferred XI in the friendlies. Both have impressed me this summer and i'd be happy with either even though I think Aluko is the one with more flair to his game. I also think he would be very reliable as a CB next to Souttar.

Do slightly agree on Hutchinson/Evans and could see at least 1 heading out on loan It's a game of numbers and the volume of senior players on wages that the club can't justify then not playing, same as last season. I agree that Joseph or Aluko start but we have 5 full backs in the squad and with only 7 subs, I imagine the sub will be a player who can cover both so Coulibaly very likely. Same with midfield, we have 6 midfielders vying for 3 spots in Page, Braybrooke, Skipp, Hamza, Chaplin and Reid/Cullen. One of those doesn't make a 7 man bench if all available. Unless i'm cooking the numbers wrong and we don't trim the squad further (there will be outgoings but think incomings too) then unfortunately the bright academy players will once again be the easiest to cull.

Pretty sure we would still like to move on a couple of Mavididi, BCDR, Hamza and Faes. Wouldn't be surprised to see Coulibaly go as well. We have moved on permanently move out 15 players on pro contracts and brought in 4. Think we have do a decent job so far of reducing the squad. Edited 8 August by coolhandfox 1

Yeah agreed, it changes if we do move several of those on and only bring a few in. Coulibaly and Reid going wouldn't require them being replaced. Stephy goes and arguably you'd want another LW but i'd be happy to see Alves and Evans or Hutchinson play that role. Faes and Hamza go and again I think it would lead to a CB or DCM coming in. 2
LVFox Posted 8 August Posted 8 August If I had to guess: Stolarczyk Aluko Okoli Souttar Thomas Braybrooke Skipp Alves. Cullen. Mavididi BDCR subs: Bausor, Faes, McFarlane, Choudhury, Watson, Page, Evans probably hardest to guess who plays on the right. 1
Ryy Posted 8 August Posted 8 August Seen the likes of Neale and Carr arrived hopefully get time from the bench
