Great news he’s signed a new deal. Go smash it in league two ready for hopefully gaining a place with us 2 leagues higher next season.

I really like Jake, he's got that fire in him so personally a bit gutted we don't see him feature for us this season.
A full season of being a major player, and he should be that at league 2, should be really good for him though.

They are both pretty young, be nice for them to be together.

 

Maybe they also offered the best deal.

Otchere is a striker Jake Evans is too small to play that role so he plays on the wing, Evans needs a lot of work to make It imo, he's appeared abit and has never impressed me

New deal is important but we really should have got him properly tied up on a 4 or 5 year deal.

 

He'll come back from him loan next summer and with only two years left on his deal he's in a decent position to negotiate. He'll still only be 18 too.

Evans played the vast majority of his games on loan at Northampton last season as a striker, and he's the same height as Jamie Vardy.

Reckon this may be the point on his side, if we do not make it back to where we want to be he has an out but we get the security to ask for a bigger fee next summer/summer after

Think until you have shown a certain level of play at that height you won’t be played up front just because you can’t do the physical stuff that 6ft guys can do even if they’re crap. If he ends up as a striker, it will be via the Watkins route. As of right now I think his future is out on the right coming in onto his left foot

I don’t think he was playing as an out and out striker all the time - he definitely played quite a bit on the wing

Steve Cotterill is a good coach and man manager, worse places to be than Cheltenham and can keep an eye out for them with the Robins being my 2nd team.

That's good then, assuming he has similar pace and movement and determination and finishing and football intelligence as prime vardy
