He does not even need to be prolific to be successful this season. He just needs to occupy the 2 center-backs and provide a threat in behind to allow space for what should be a very attacking and technically adept midfield. With the amount of the ball and in theory quality midfielders for the level, hopefully 10-15 goals will come easily.

High risk, high reward signing I think. He hadn't done an awful lot until last season, big risk with the overall lack of minutes but last season he had 0.9 xG per 90 - if he gets half of that and starts 40+ games he'll end up with around 20 goals. He'll have to adapt to playing 90 on Saturday and Tuesday week in and week out though, you'd think with McCarron's S&C background we might just have an idea on which players can step up.

Just checked my thread history, I've announced 3 signings, Caleb Okoki, Ayoze Perez & Ron Robert-Zieler.

Alternatively, he might feel slightly out of his comfort zone? He's just started a new job in a new country with cameras pointing at him. It could also be one of the first times he's ever met the manager and he might have been about to meet the group of players he's going to be playing and training with for the first time. 

But yes, from the 15 second clip posted for social media, it will definitely "end in tears this."

thats why we tied him down for 4 years.
