You shouldn't be. Hope only drawing doesn't cost you.

Other than a few players, we had a completely different team than we had last season and against a team that played in the Championship last season.

There's zero Notts fans that aren't happy with the point.

We'll need to be better at Luton next weekend.

Genuine question as I’m completely lost with this dreadful 4-2-3-1 formation,

and backwards/sideways lack of intensity crap,

but do those that genuinely love this style think it’s good on the eye,

As it’s the most boring and predictable formation,

we have a striker dropping into a number 6 position,

put a dozen passes together from the back to end up no further up the pitch than we started,

all whilst risking losing possession,

even back/sideways when in the final 3rd,

I even see it at grassroots aswell,

but it’s so bad,

it’s boring as hell,

managers seem to beleive in this as being the best way to play but it’s dreadful,

I don’t think the players are always the problem,

it’s the system,

which has clearly not worked for 3 of the last 4 years,

does rudkin and co really enjoy watching this crap when they draw up a shortlist of managers,

we sack managers as this system does not work for us to then recruit another manager that plays the same,

what this system also does is bore the hell out of the next generation of supporters,

we was lucky not to be 2-0 from playing out from the back before we even scored,

I want to be entertained,

be on the front foot,

take games to teams,

we won the ****ing premier league with 30% possession yet feel the need to dominate possession,

just doing something different Russell,

even 3-5-2,

football is fast becoming boring as hell

With you totally.  Maybe im a football dinosaur  but us aside in 15/16, take me back to the 90s early 2000s. Im totally bored of this keep the ball at all costs borefest. Games lost its excitement. If Bergkamp played todays style he would never have spun Elliott and if he did it would have been passed back . There's no flair anymore. No characters. No horrible bastards. Its all just limp.

I know I'm going to get some stick for these comments but.....

Those 'fans' who booed the team at the end of the game (and at times during it) are a disgrace to our club. They need to look up the definition of what a supporter is and if that's not something that they think fits with them then we would all be better off if they stayed at home. I've got issues with the tactics and with some individual players but I've never booed a Leicester player in my 50+ years attending matches. What must those young players have thought after giving their all in the match. I'm sure that they'll say the usual; "I've paid my money so... Blah blah blah. " This was the first game of the season. We've scraped a draw in spite of all the changes and disruption going on at the club. I'm sure some of these 'supporters' won't be happy unless we see the team fall into L2!

“Scrapped a draw” against Notts County in League One, and you question why people boo? We were in the Premier League 2 seasons ago

Exactly people are running out of patience, and rightly so… Martin wasn’t the appointment most wanted and his record at Rangers is atrocious, I’m struggling to see how he turns this around.

It's just not necessary to play Martins way as Leicester city in this league. Yes we have sold £50 million worth of players but he has had license to recruit players from higher leagues that no other teams have the capability to.

Martin won't, but surely a decent manager would just keep things simple and play direct, attacking football where the wingers are the players who spend the most time on the ball, like we did under Pearson with players like Lloyd Dyer on the wing.

We literally could have conceded 3 or 4 goals from our own mistakes playing it around on the edge of our own box. Make the mistakes in their half not your own.

Anyone who knows anything about football knows this. We haven't got the players for that football in defence so it's suicide. The keeper was awful as well. McFarlane, Page (fingers crossed) Bristric come in next week hopefully

Small sample size and didn't see him going forward at all but initial thoughts on Howell were positive.

Likewise Watson too who I thought showed a threat. Hampered by having Thomas behind him

Thought the same. I wasn’t overly impressed with Burns today either. For me, based of today alone I feel the team picks itself until we get some new centre backs.

GK - Stolarczyk

RB - JJ

CB - Okoli

CB - Souttar

LB - McFarlane

CDM - Braybrooke

RW - Howell

CAM - Chaplin

CAM - Alves

LW - Watson

ST - Bristric

Terrible start to the game, shaky last minutes before half-time.

Rinse and repeat in the second half.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid – get reid. Useless player, horrible in front of goal, his time is up at this club. Any other League One or League Two club, but just go.

Can't wait to see Brstric and another striker in our team to play a full game.

Choudhury can go in the bin, too.

Skipp, let it be. You're not a footballer, you're a track star. Go on, compete in a marathon or something. Easily bullied off the ball, no impact going forward, won't tackle, when he tackles, his tackles go amiss.

Okoli's passing forward is just something else. Has the tactical perception of a toddler.

Very happy with our youngsters. Burns could use some end product, Braybrooke did well in the middle.

Alves looked a bit rusty in comparison, also didn't get the ball that often.

Most impressed by Joseph. Very composed, very aware, crowned his performance with the goal. What a strike!

Souttar did very well, too. Will we miss him?

I agree with that entirely. I think it's alright to say it was crap and a bit worrying though.

A lot of people who had formed an opinion of Martin based on years of seeing how his sides get along were suddenly 'converted' by a few decent pre-season results - which I thought was a bit fickle, and I said at the time that one solitary league game tells you a lot more than all the friendlies combined.

I also made the point that to judge a manager on one, two or even five, six games is hasty in the extreme. So long as we understand that all forms of fickleness, positive and negative, are unhelpful (because those who whip their cocks out after a few pre-season games are very, very prone to leaping to other silly conclusions) then I'm with you.

I expect things to get much better than that, so won't get too excited either way for a good while yet. And, of course, one win, and suddenly we'll be a shoo in for the title again according to some.

Overreacting to one game is allowed when it's us winning a friendly. Can't say anything when we look like complete rabble in the real thing though.

Agree with all of this, but.. Souttar was embarrassing for their goal

Careful, 50 plus years he has been a supporter, we must acknowledge that and doff our caps.

Totally with you though, at the end when the players came over quite a lot were clapping, chap near us shouted “shy are you clapping for that’, I agreed with him, no way I’d applaud that show today.

Lucky we were not beaten by a couple of goals, their keeper had a very relaxed Saturday afternoon, yes let one in but didn’t  have to do much more.

I'd put more blame on the players ahead of him, giving up possession that easily.

Allowing the cross to come In got me fuming at the game. From my angle he had both Watson and Thomas on him yet somehow still got the cross in and no one put a challenge in.

I get why people are pissed off. What I don't agree with is venting the frustrations of the last 2 years' shitshow at people on their first day at the new job & academy lads buzzing to make it to the first team (and perform well). Properly weird behaviour.

Underwhelming.

I can’t buy into this “it’s a difficult place to go”. They were in League 2 last year.

We need to stop ****ing about with Bobby and Cullen, and get that big Bosnian on from the start as a focal point. And we also need another actual striker.

The academy lads (apart from Thomas) were great.  We need to build the team around those.

We swung so many balls into the box first hand and there was simply no one there.

You didn't answer my question. How do think the youngsters like Braybrook Alves and Joseph felt about getting booed?

Yep, Bobby was dropping deep into our own half all the time. And when Cullen ‘played up top’ he was virtually non existent.

I’m really struggling to see what the point of signing Cullen was.

Chances were there, but we just didn't capitalize on them.

As with you guys, a lot of questions with our lineup and how it will shape up going forward.

I’m not sure there are a lot of questions? We need a No.9 simple. A lot of comments that a better side would have beaten them, I’m not sure it’s a better side? Just a side with a cutting edge, we created all the clear chances. My worry if I was a Leicester fan was they didn’t want the fight, we set up exactly as expected - work hard, press and go through walls for each other and that wasn’t there for Leicester. We learnt very quickly in the National League no one is going to gift you anything on reputation alone. We will be competitive and staying up a success. Leicester will go up if they drop this superiority complex, roll up sleeves and get in the trenches which Martin teams don’t do. Thought Alves was the foxes stand out.

1-1, first half was pretty poor was totally bullied by Notts County. Second half somewhat better, took the lead but it was very like patchy attacks or pressure when we would create something, but wouldnt create anything again for at least another ten or fiftheen minutes. Draw was a fair result to be honest though a very soft goal to concede.

Of course only league game one, it wont be perfect from day one but looking at this squad today and seem them struggle in moments against a Notts County who are expected to be in a relegation scrap just shows what a weak squad we have.
