Can be too quick to jump on an opposing midfielder receiving; gets turned too often and struggles to recover

Prone to losing duels, and sometimes he's too assertive trying to make up for his mistake. For example, gave away a penalty vs Gnistan recently because of this

Still working on his consistency to impact games in possession

To be fair, very few 19 year olds are the finished article. It's whether he can offer at least what we have now and then develop further over the course of the season.

 

Souttar us unlikely to develop and Okoli seems incapable sadly.

He sounds like he's better on the ball than Okoli and wants to be here unlike all the other CBs, even if he is young and needs developing - by default that has to be an improvement.

As a half-Finn, I can say this kid is special. When I heard the news earlier, I couldn't believe it, as he's definitely been courted by some top teams.

 

But the more I think of it, the more a move to us kind of makes sense. He won't be in the spot light that much, but we're still a "big" enough club (as far as Finns are concerned). As a youngster, League One will also be a decent enough level for him to develop further. He definitely isn't the finished article, that's for sure (as good as he already is).

 

If all goes well for him (and us), we will be a stepping stone, but personally I wouldn't mind that at all. If he helps get us where we want to be and bigger clubs then take interest, everything's worked out well.

I get that some bigger clubs may have come in for him.. and if that’s truly the case, I will have massive respect for him, for choosing  to come to a club he will definitely get minutes rather than sit in someone’s  academy waiting for a league cup game or two..

He already tried Academy route and didn't like it
