Excellent. Lost the will to check in on us today, took a quick glance at the end of the world day and there’s 12 pages in a random finish wonder kid! That’s what I’m talking about!!

seems we love dragging our heels even when a deal is pretty much done and dusted ……and we wonder why we never get a lot of multiple deals done on deadline days like others seem to be able to do, will hopefully be announced today but too late now to be included against Ipswich -

Unfortunately the plan to get everything sealed today for Ilari to play as early as tomorrow didn’t happen.. some paperwork still being handled. but yeah he may still be announced tomorrow though. FC Inter just waiting for Leicester to decide when they want to do it

Dragging our heels? Come on. I know everyone hates the club but the story broke yesterday and he's starting tonight according to a lot of people.

You don’t bring a 19 y o kid into a new country and stick them straight into a losing team within a day
even this sh1tshow wouldn’t  do that

At least read my post before commenting, the plan was for the signing to be completed yesterday so he could be involved tonight, however it’s not been finalised and his club are waiting on us to decide when it gets done and dusted. So it would appear the delay is on our side.

Or indeed Finnish football clubs don't understand all the intricacies of a player moving to the UK.

I think so too. VISA application is probably holding it up as we all know how slow government departments are and the fact they don't work weekends

I wonder if Hannover are still lurking?

Really?

Bring a young player in, maybe he gets a morning training session at most, and then here you go; play against this Premier League attack.

I just don’t see it myself.

Would never have happened in time for tonight anyway with the amount of paper work and hoops that have to be jumped through for an international transfer these days. Even it was announced now it would say “subject to international clearance”.

We understand that but some people want to moan and run our club down by printing what they don’t understand

Will take at least a week for his visa / work permit arrangements

Club probably played it right getting everything agreed front end now with a week to go for the deadline

The links only broke 24 hrs ago, give them a chance. I love a bit of club bashing but not for this. Not yet anyway.

100%

there’s no ‘dragging of heels’ international transfers always take longer. Bristric took about 1 week from when it broke to signing.

the club will be fully aware that the window closes next Tuesday it’s not like they’ve left things to the last minute before is it 👀
