Fair point, but Both games Okoli played, who can’t pass a parcel. null and void

Similar applies to Thomas. Look at the difference tonight when he was afforded another couple of yards

Hmm. Ipswich barely in second gear for most of that, which is probably why we looked alright.

As soon as they upped the tempo even slightly, they scored.

I’ll judge us on the league games.

Nonsense. Give your young lads some credit.

Hoping that Martin tells us in the post match interview that our Mighty Finn has signed.

Owynn from RL reporting that he has confirmed it! Just waiting for clearance.

One thing tonight proved as we zipped it around nicely at times is that Okoli, Souttar and Skipp just suck the life and energy out of the team

Keep the kids in. I’d rather lose with them putting a shift in than some overpaid ego’s not giving a crap

There’s no way Martin can watch that and continue with Cullen, skipp and bdcr.
Braybrooke, Page, Chaplin, Howell and Watson is the nailed on starting midfield, if they’re all available and he starts Cullen then sack him at half time

DCR did fine when he came on. Some of the critique is weird…..

Chaplin and Page were real quality, thought Aluko and Howell looked great and Braybrooke is a real talent.

RM ball is chaos, but there were moments tonight that looked promising.

Martin said likelihood of Aluko & Thomas playing in central defence in a league 1 fixture is unlikely

Good. Means he trusts Kangasniemi to play alongside either Aluko or someone else stylistically suited (i.e none of our actual current centre backs)

Problem is, you know full well we will be completely shit against Plymouth. Like I said, there were more promising performances, but by no means was it “miles better”, Ipswich were very much out for a stroll tonight….. and finished the game off fairly quickly when they had to.

The fact we’re two leagues below them is what is getting me. TWO leagues below Ipswich ****ing town.

I'm at a loss with people finding positives from that performance.

We're fundamentally floored. If we can't score goals then we're going to lose the majority of games where we concede. We concede because we are guaranteed to give away 3 or 4 gift wrapped chances per game by over playing.

I could stomach playing this way if we're winning games 4-3 and creating great chances but we look absolutely clueless in the final third.

I'd say there is a 80 -90% chance of relegation if Brussell stays - I'm not being over dramatic.

Genuinely think he'll last about 8 games before being sacked, with us bottom of the league.

I think we looked better because Ipswich are a team who won't play deep and put ten men behind the ball and try to hit us on the break - league one teams are a different proposition. Still, I thought we played well tonight. Missing that cutting edge up front - always seems like by the time we play ourselves into a good position, all the opposition players are back defending and there's no room to do anything.

It’s bloody tough being a striker in this system

Never created a thing for Bristvic. Shooting from outside the box every time.

Hopefully others have put themselves in the frame and we can move on from the regular failures. Always unlikely we were going to win so take those things out of it.

I only caught 60 minutes of the match, but I was impressed with what I saw. McFarlane and Chaplin both stood out, especially considering it was their first competitive starts for us, while Page and Braybrooke complemented each other nicely.

At the end of the day, we’re a League One side playing against Premier League opposition, but for a good chunk of tonight, we actually looked like the team from the higher tier. If everyone’s fit, that starting XI tonight should definitely be the team to start this weekend.

How quickly some are happy to accept that 'at the end of the day, we're a league one side and they are premier league'.

Two seasons ago we were premier league.

It's catastrophic how far we have fallen, and how so many are willing to accept it.

If we don’t accept it does it go away?

Losing is a habit, one we’ve had for the last two seasons.

All we needed to do was play solid, no nonsense football, and we’d be getting results. Instead we are dicking about on the edge of our area, giving away soft goals, and getting an entire new squad ingrained with the habit of failure and loss.

Exactly we never learn...too much messing about in our own third and kiterally gifting opportunnities to our opponenent.. p*ss take
