Boo the leadership and ownership, back the players (at the minute) as they are being hugely let down but the state of the club and squad.

We have gone into the season with 3CBs who aren’t likely to be here and 1 striker who is a young lad playing in this country for the first time. Anyone expecting us to walk the league with this lot is in for a shock, but as a club we should absolutely piss this.

We won’t, I said at the start of the season that we are hugely unprepared. Hopefully the last weeks (I don’t actually know when the window/loan window closes) of the transfer window see us somehow sort this mess out and then get all of the recruitment right. I think it’s play offs if we are very lucky.

No striker no promotion it’s that simple. When the fans can see that you’re going to get negativity, then all you get off the gaffer at full time is telling us to calm down. We’ve not hit rock bottom yet either.

I get your point, but we need a proper striker!

We had Daka and Ayew last season who couldn't hit a barn door from 6 inches away. Whilst being paid a Kings ransom. 🤴

As long as Dudkin is in charge of recruitment its hard to believe that we can sign anyone for peanuts who is going to bag us a net full of goals??

Considering all the millions he wasted on complete garbage.

When the players go over to the fans and get booed yesterday, who is that aimed at?

Was Martin with them?

I know this could be controversial, but I find some of the constant negativity in the stands tiresome. Barely 5 minutes in, and people are shouting sarcastic comments about the style of football. I get that the last 4 years have been shocking but we are where we are, and I still want us to do well.

I feel like a lot of the fans' expectations are all wrong, where anything other than 46 wins is a failure, which is never going to happen. I was frustrated with yesterday, but out of all the performances over the years, I don't think it warranted people shouting/swearing at the players/manager throughout and at the end.

I'm not sure all the noise and negativity is helpful for the on-field stuff. I get people are entitled to feel how they feel, but for their own sanity, if they feel so negatively about the club, especially on-field performances, then why do you still go?

16 wins would be good.

Players get jeered all the time mate, it’s a minority with the majority of the boos aimed at Martin and the leadership but you can’t say the players don’t take any of the flack.

Ultimately I want us to win. Whether that's with the current structure or not, I want us to win.

Saying that, I am bored of pep ball. I am bored of everyone copying it and not having their own identity.

We don't have the players for it and we definitely don't have the money to buy the players for it.

We are at the wrong end of league one because of how the clubs been run for a good few years now.

Success doesn't give you immunity from criticism.

- Top is still owner and continues to be absent

- Rudkin has been promoted after 3 relegations

- Martin has been employed, we all knew what would happen. Completely the wrong appointment for what we need.
- Cullen, Chaplin, Burns, McCarthy. Appear Martin players who offer next to nothing, all on long term contracts.

only positive are the younger players. Braybrooke, Page, Alves, Joseph, Aluko all look promising and are doing great. Full support for these.

Worry is Alves game time will be reduced for players who are on loan, and we continue to develop others instead of our own.

positivity will return when Top and Rudkin leave. And decisions are made for the best interest of the club. Not a vanity project who all prefer style over results.

The anger is more than justified after the last few years. In fact, people should be angrier.

Problem is, it's completely the wrong people on the receiving end. Academy products (and probably Leicester fans) apprehensive about going over to the away end after a game in which they've been the best players on the park? Some of our fans are absolutely braindead.

If Rowett was in charge 2 draws and a clean sheet would have been labelled as 'at least he is making us difficult to beat'.

Healthy topic to discuss.

I’m of the firm belief that if you pay for a ticket, you’ve a right to voice frustrations. By the nature of the sport, where else do you do this? On a forum? Protest? - To what end will this get across?

My challenge is that you look at every club RM has been. Same problem statements. He’s not learning. He should have evolved. He hasn’t.

We’re 20th and without a win in 3. And this is results driven business.

No expectation that we should p**s the league, however, irrelevant of transition, mood, new manager, we don’t look like winning football matches.

Flip the argument - If a teams doing well, should we not clap? Cheer?

All for positive encouragement, building up the players. This is done on the training ground, 5 days a week. It’s not the job of the supporter.

I do think this team does deserve a bit more support. These players, many of them academy lads, with a few exceptions do not have hundreds of appearances in the top 2 divisions so expecting them to walk the league instantly is harsh.

We should definitely keep up criticism of the ownership though as they are the reason why our squad has fallen from top 5 in the country to struggling to score in league 1 in half a decade.

This is a problem though isn’t it, because realistically, you can’t do both.

If you want to support the youngsters, you have to forgive them mistakes, poor choices, up and down form, results etc.

That said - I think fans behaviour at matches is more of a side issue.

For me, the thing having a far more detrimental effect on players is the brutally negative social media engagement you see these days.

To a degree, players can shrug off crowd noice easily enough; but the social media stuff is just constant and directly in their face.

Can you even begin to imagine seeing 100+ messages a week saying you’re shit at your job? You know, nothing constructive, just “your crap.”

I fully expect many to point out “well x player” deserves it - but that doesn’t address whether giving said player that criticism is ultimately going to help them to improve their performance.

My expectation is we win 46 games, so yes in my eyes we’ve failed already, unrealistic or not.

I am negative, because I’m sick and tired of King Power and sick and tired of what has now become a completely lazy approach to run the club because they now want to sell it….

Just the same mistakes being made time and time again, but the problem now, is we’re in an extremely dangerous position, a boardroom that’s now pretty much said “we’re done” so we will see zero investment and progression in the club, a lazy managerial appointment that will fail, we’re really on a knifes edge, because I’m not convinced the club will be sold until Top wakes up and gets a dose of reality….. you’ve got football experts saying we are worth between £30-£50m and he want £200 potentially plus……

Everyone’s living in a daydream, we’re hurtling towards a disaster but seemingly without resistance…. At the moment it’s a bit like watching a tornado approach your house, and you’re sat on the porch with a beer thinking everything will be okay…..

I get people want to be positive, and want to try and cheer the team on, but in my opinion it’s all wasted, all hope is misguided, and the same pain and agonising disappointment will be felt by all fans again come the end of the season, and it won’t be us “bed wetters” fault, it’s Top’s….

Id much rather invest my time into ensuring we’ve got a football club to support, there’s a very real possibility we might not if things continue as they are……

I want to be positive.   But it is hard and has been since Rodgers was sacked too late.   Since we paid more in wages than was received in revenue.   Since we bought Vestergaard.  And Faes.  Ayew.  Etc.

I want to feel positive about the young players.   But have they got the structure and experience (and positivity) around them to thrive.

And here in lies the problem.

99% of fans should want to be applauding the Academy lads but at the same time boo the swamp inhabitants which is obviously impossible.

Need to come up with a POSITIVE chant just for the Academy boys that by definition lets the other tossers know exactly what we think of them.

Can we just sing “Academy” in some sort of rhythmic song or chant ? Must be some musical maestro’s on the forum surely that can come up with something

I’m not a fan of constant negatively towards the players with booing 3 games into a season with new players and younger players stepping up a level (or playing in league 1 again), some bouncy sarcastic chants might be better.

unfortunately we are in a situation where the club have an ethos that is completely at odds with the title winning ethos and the managers are trying to drill into the players that anything other than 46 passes in a row before a goal is a failure. Fans do not like that and have been vocal about it (ish) for as long as we have done it

Agree with your post.

We have an owner who wants out and his best mate at the helm. Disinterested in what we do at best, unless it maximises sale price. They have chosen RM. We are stuck with him.

We have been financially mismanaged. We now are trying to reset. We must rid of the players who are killing the club financially.or we won't have a club.

The kids we would have been loaning out can now get the chance to play and hopefully thrive. They need out support and it is not always going to be easy to do that as everyone wants success.

I would rather have a group who actually care than the utter dross we have had to endure for the last 2 to 3 years.
