I know this could be controversial, but I find some of the constant negativity in the stands tiresome. Barely 5 minutes in, and people are shouting sarcastic comments about the style of football. I get that the last 4 years have been shocking but we are where we are, and I still want us to do well.

I feel like a lot of the fans' expectations are all wrong, where anything other than 46 wins is a failure, which is never going to happen. I was frustrated with yesterday, but out of all the performances over the years, I don't think it warranted people shouting/swearing at the players/manager throughout and at the end.

I'm not sure all the noise and negativity is helpful for the on-field stuff. I get people are entitled to feel how they feel, but for their own sanity, if they feel so negatively about the club, especially on-field performances, then why do you still go

They go in the hope of change.

My kids have been going for years, and its becoming increasingly hard to get them there,  they have just had enough, they love football and leicester.

But they are so bored, and moral is low after years of the same stuff, its a 3hr round trip for home games, season tickets, and they dont want to go anymore, and deep downi dont even look forward to going, but its the hope.

There’s a myth that positivity will somehow fix all of the problems. As if we didn’t already try that years ago when we were sliding and kept sliding even further. It’s past the point of that now unfortunately.

No offence but we’ve had 4 years of “get behind the lads on the pitch” and it’s led to us being at the bottom of the third tier

Do people not think a re think might be needed

And how long do we give it? We could still "play well" and remain winless for another three games and we are still marooned near the bottom.

Decent displays whilst not winning might be ok optically for a brief period but the league table will make no concessions.

I get why we have negative fans but it helps no one.  It's a 2 way street, I feel this season we've more players on the pitch we can get behind and support than ones just don't put a shift in.

I'd rather see us get behind the team to spur the young academy lads on, there's massive potential there.

Put it this way if your kid is doing shit at maths at school you don't keep telling him he's shit do you.  You set the environment to allow him to become better.  We are slowly moving towards that, hopefully KP get a buyer ASAP.  But it would be nice for potential buyers to buy into club where they feel the fans can make a real positive difference

Good advice but got nothing to do with young men who make the choice to get paid fortunes every week despite whether they are shit and that choice comes with a risk of being booed.

Relegation zone of league 1.

lollol

Don't worry though folks, no negativity please.

After all, we played some mediocre football against Ipswich reserves & Mk Dons..

Making money does not shield someone from psychological effects of criticism.

I’d also point out that if the criticism vented is primarily designed to illicit better performance; there’s not much evidence it’s working.

I disagree.  It helps me personally and I think it is important that we make it known that this is unacceptable.  Very loudly.

Your maths exam analogy does not hold water.  We are not talking about players that are not good enough we are talking about players that have been massively underperforming and not putting in the basic effort.

That's your choice.

2 out of the starting 11 yesterday underperformed last season and need to find employment elsewhere.

6 weren't even at the club.  Half that starting line up are literally finding their feet at L1 and under 21.  So why boo them, we were literally booing within 15 mins.

Burns and Watson were both crap yesterday, but they are putting in basic effort.

Every fan wants the same thing which is to get out this division ASAP, I'd just rather we are positive about the guys that are doing the right stuff

Did they make that choice to get paid that money every week or put the hard graft in as kids to get where they are.

If it works like that I choose to be the next Thor when Chris Hemsworth retires

Also it's the old men at the club that have been the issue

These people don't look for this detail or little gains. If we lose, it's dreadful. If we draw it's dreadful. If we win they will look for excuses as to why we were lucky or focus on a player who stunk the room out.

We have fans who seek to be miserable and revel in it when even the smallest aspect of the game justifies it. Nothing will convince me otherwise that they are at their happiest when they are radiating their negativity

Erm, I looked at the detail. I saw a team that rarely troubled MK due to the fact we were bunching up the area outside the 18 yard box, not stretching the game enough or providing options. It resulted in many of our lads trying to play on top of each other, a lack of options ahead of them/out wide and taking pot shots.

I like many of these players now, I’m very supportive of the young lads. But I can also see that for all the good play in the middle third, the approach will need to change in the final third to create enough chances to win games.

All you will probably see from this post is everyone is shit, Martin out, players out etc etc. I would say this is a balanced post and am sick of people referring to any criticism as being negative.

Come on mate, it has been worse. In 1893 we weren't even in the Football League!

This has been happening.

You mention it makes you feel better personally - is that true, or do you find yourself stuck in a negative feedback loop?

You also highlight a lack of effort.

So why are the players ducking?

What reasons could you offer for why they’re not putting in maximum effort?

Atmosphere won’t change until we either go on a lengthy winning streak/unbeaten run or KP finally f*** off.

The level of mismanagement over the past 6 years really has been astonishing. It deserves so much more media attention than it has been getting.

I don’t go to games any longer as I don’t think Football is value for money and also worth the time these days, most of my posts are negative and directed at the owner, Rudkin or manager.

I still want the lads to do well, I just cannot justify giving my money to the fools in charge to squander.

We are in uncharted territory so I fully understand the frustrations of the paying fans, I feel the same frustrations and vent them here.

King Power have driven away fans who were there pre 2016 by preventing them getting general sale tickets, there’s many of us who can’t be bothered now they want us back, we rattled around Filbert St with 8000 fans in the 80s when it was easier to walk away with the ongoing threat of violence at matches in ramshackle stadiums with high fences. Now it’s just as easy to walk away when they want £36 to watch Burton.

I read an article and it touched on the booing thing. People are either booing the current squad and manager, or they are booing the current demise where the club in its entirety finds it itself.

With regards to the current on-pitch set up, booing isn't helping and we should get behind them because we have no choice on the matter other than simply not turn up to matchdays. However, to boo those who put us in this position, let them have it. They are responsible for the slide and they should knownhow we feel.

I'm not going to be kicking off until Martin has had at least 10 league games. There has been a wholesale change to the team and squad and he's having to manage a team with huge uncertainty as to who he will have from one week to the next. Once the Transfer Window shuts, then he has to show he can manage the remaining players well over the next few months. I actually think we've been really decent in the last 2 games and there does seem an upturn in our performances and from what I've heard (I know one of the squad) he has developed a really good relationship with the players.

The players haven’t had any criticism. It’s been directed at the grossly inappropriate managerial appointment.

We’re in our lowest ever position!!!!!!!!!

Booing the players 10 mins into the Burton game. Okoli everytime he was on the ball in the first half after Burton scored.

Seems like the appropriate thread to ask if anyone else is starting to fear that we won't get a new striker or CB through the door, the only player we'll sign on deadline day will be some random loanee in a position we didn't need just to say we've done some business, and that at least a couple of the wantaway players currently left out of the squad will have to be reintegrated?

If so we are nailed on to go down again I think.

On the flipside of that, recruiting the right striker and CB and we could suddenly start flying.

Either way it's a massive couple of days ahead that could decide whether or not we have a club in the future.

Let's break down the actual matchdays shall we because any chat online is completely irrelevant.

Notts - sold out in minutes, solid following, a smattering of unrest but largely fine

Burton - almost a full house, good pre match/opening minutes atmosphere, tifo, then the players ****ed it up and yeah they got what they deserved.

MK - took 6000, more than we took there in '09, basically waited for them to score and when the didn't a tiny minority booed.

And what do we get in return:

Well dunno the club could just help themselves and win football games. I thought during the Burton game, like everyone is desperately searching for some positivity and the senior players turned that out.

We’ve got a manager who’s over complicating the game beyond reason too; mostly likely at the detriment of the youngsters. Martin’s treatment of Alves is already very bizarre

I completely agree.

I also think the next three games are now massive for the clubs future, will we have too much work to do to get out of this league position when the wins finally come. Obviously if the wins don’t come we won’t be getting out of this league position, our negotiating position for potential buyers is weaker and the threat of bankruptcy or whatever is greater.

We also need a few of the players to click and start working together to score goals for fun. I haven’t noticed any repeated patterns in our play that try to put a player in a goal scoring position yet, but maybe they are working on it at the training ground and it hasn’t happened on the pitch yet.

The fact we have a manager with most of us didn’t want is a huge factor of this.
the style of play is incredibly boring.
