Actually incredible how much of our passing is to the back foot or the weak foot. Literally the basics of the tiki-taka that Martin claims he wants is that that the passing should always be quick, one-two touch, and you can't do that when the passes aren't going in front of a player or to their stronger foot

Got to be worthy of a case study. How can you go from looking great as a teenager in the PL, to looking like you'd struggle outside the football league

Do they do drug tests in this league?

Donny racking up at set plays, and playing lots of balls into our box…. Every match we get examples of why Martins ideology is dying.

I'd take the 19 year old Chilwell who was scared to take a throw-in at Millwall away back over Thomas any day

I remember this, was this before he had his Summer of bulking up?

Funnily enough, skinny teen Chilwell was much more athletic than a 25 year old Thomas.

Crazy that Maresca spent hours every week drilling in how important it was to pass to the receiver's strong foot only for us to be doing the complete opposite 2.5 years later

Not watching it so my only take on how the game is going is from the posts here.

Naïve to say perhaps this might work in our favour, Donny willing to attack and not just sit in and counter?

I once had a wild eyed man in Manchester offering to sell me some magic so don't discount that.

The whole defensive set up is wrong, especially for initiating the play.

We don’t have anyone who can punch a pass through the press, like you say it’s often slow and onto the weaker foot, either under hit or over hit….. no number 6 dropping into the pockets, and no obvious quick patterns…..

When we initiate play from the back, there’s no plan and no conviction.

Is this thread about the actual game or a slagging off Thomas fest? So boring.

He’s ****ing shite and gets paid a ridiculous amount of money. Let people slag him off.
