From a competitive standpoint, the pitch was perfect- bowler-friendly, but something in it for the seamers, spinners and batsmen who were willing to dig in. Produced a result on the afternoon of day 4, with all 3 results possible going into the final day.

 

In my mind, the only possible issue is player safety from uneven bounce.

The pitch was fine. The Welsh cry baby on the stream wasn't moaning about it when we were 8 wickets down on the first day! 

 

The ECB are off their heads If they think they can play test matches on the Lord's minefield then punish us for producing a pitch that 2 people got 90+ on and went deep into the 4th day.

The innings' lasted 62, 53, 74 and 86 overs. Nobody was bundled out in double quick time. Didn't hear that a batsman was hurt. Scores roughly the same as most others in the division.

WTF? I switched off for lunch. Missed it, but absolutely delighted. You would not have put money on that pace attack winning a tight game, but fair play to them. Didn’t have a huge amount of luck either and won after losing the toss.

Right from the start the narrative from them has been ‘Glamorgan win or Leics should get a points deduction’. No inbetween even after nearly 500 runs were scored in the second innings. If the ECB were going to deduct us they’d surely have to deduct from Notts and Warks too where less runs were scored. Who knows what punishment they’d have suggested if it was a Foxes player not working rather than Carlson.

 

Up the Foxes. It’s obviously frustrating at times but we’re still a true underdog of hard workers giving the more monied counties a bloody nose.

Absolutely brilliant win. How many teams win from being bowled out for 151 in their 1st innings. No Ben or Alex Green, Eskinazi or Cox either. Brilliant effort. Carlson should have been out last night so for him to be out on 99 was hilarious. At 210-7 I thought Glamorgan were going to do it. Excellent win and cheered me up after that football shitshow yesterday.

If Carlson had played in the true spirit of the game, he should have walked as he knew very well that he was out

Not a good sign if the match officials have called for there to be a post-match pitch inspection.

What a golden opportunity for the ECB to give us a points deduction - making relegation odds on - and ensure that their beloved Surrey have a better chance of staying up.

I bet they're drafting the charge sheet as we speak.

It isn't a bad pitch if no-one gets rolled for under 100. Two players nearly scored tonnes. It made for exciting cricket and went into the penultimate session of the match. 3 of the 4 other results in Division one were low scorers.

 

Then there is the poor umpiring. A Patel had a totally plumb LBW turned down and then Carlson obviously edged one last night.

 

So the umpires hardy set the world on fire and the Welsh commentator, by trying to keep the pitch in the conversation for the entire match needs a dressing down.

Caught down the leg side 2nd from last ball  of the day last night off Patel. Ball took a big deflection and he must have known he had hit it. Seems Glamorgan have some very salty fans and commentators ,bless
