They need to prepare a 22 yard snooker table with matchsticks for stumps for them to see out a day’s play at the crease.

Hopefully it’s not just because the losing side moaned about it, because that’s what it feels like.

There is no average mark unfortunately although I do understand your frustration as it seems like we are being picked on. 
Coach interference is rife in cricket and particularly at Leicester and we’ve been caught out this time and it’s going to have a huge impact on our season.

I do apologise for banging on about the same things but I do again feel the need to reply. By my understanding we prepared what would be called a “result” pitch, meaning it was never going to be a draw, this is fine as in the case of the Yorkshire pitch as the pitch played well, a good contest between bat and ball, on the other hand the Glamorgan pitch although looking like it was prepared similarly to the previous Yorkshire pitch didn’t provide an even contest between bat and ball as there was plenty of seam early on and also uneven bounce. That is what the ECB will be reviewing, unfortunately as I’ve previously said the pattern of the game by my understanding is not taken into account, going 4 days and 2 batters making 90+ may help us but it’s unlikely. 
I think we have to prove that we attempted to prepare the best pitch we possibly could for the game but we’ve left ourselves in a difficult position as we purposely cut the pitch two different lengths.

On a side note personally I’d allow the home ground to do what they want with pitches (within reason) and have home advantage, it certainly would make batters value their wicket and play on a variety of pitches which eventually will produce better technique. 
England seem to be able to do what they want with home test match pitches but that doesn’t apply to the County game.

I do hope that they take into account that nearly 800 runs were scored, it was a fantastic, exciting game of cricket that either side could have won & would have attracted people to go & watch the game. In my opinion counties that prepare featherbed wickets where each team scores 600 & a draw is the only possible result should be reported. There is a health risk here of bowlers dieing of exhaustion in bowling numerous overs in a futile attempt to get a wicket & spectators dieing of boredom

Adam witty is an absolutely atrocious cricket commentator. I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt at first because he's new and cricket commentary can be a fine art but he doesn't seem to be improving or learning from the older more superior old boys he's working with at all. 

 

He makes it almost unwatchable for me he need to learn and learn fast that good cricket commentary isn't filling every silence with inane nonsense you've got to let the action breath also when you do interject or have a natter to your co commentator it should bring value and improve the experience for the listenter. 

 

After 3/4 days of listening to him I feel like driving my car into the central reservation.

Agreed. I'm not really sure he has that much knowledge of the game & certainly his knowledge of Leicestershire's history & former players is dire.

 

All the other counties still seem to have their established BBC commentators who have been following their side for years. Frankly it's a bit of an embarresment what has with Radio Leicester

It was that first game of the season v Sussex which screwed us. After that we more than held our own despite the Essex collapse. We are basically a win away from mid table (ignoring the points deduction).

Disagree the knowledge of most local commentators are poor.The other guy commentating yesterday asked if Jack Leech was coming in as nightwatchman when Somerset were 7 or 8 down.Adam Whitty plays cricket to a good level and. has a better Knowledge of Leicester cricket then Richard Rae who thought Gower had left Leicestershire when we won the B\H in 1985 and asked Andy Roberts if he enjoyed bowling with Alan Mullally.Also remember him saying Geoff Miller was a former Leicestershire player.

Just looked at his stats. 27 years old and only played 2 T20 games. I reckon Tattersall will take over as the 1st choice.

I mean we have had injuries yes but it has been a poorly assembled squad. Seems unlucky with late drop outs but in red ball cricket our overseas have awful. Arguably weaker even on paper than we were last year.

 

I guess with maharaj and handscombe it’s a different season all together.
