They were preparing to play the first home games of the season at Kibworth. Not the only county as well planning on playing away from their traditional grounds either.

As a Club, we have been seeking guidance from the ECB regarding the remainder of the season and after receiving further information last week, we are able to confirm our options available to members below.
 
We have three options available:-

 

Donate
We appreciate that the financial implications of recent months have impacted us all, but for anyone who wishes to do so, we would like to include the option of donating the cost of your membership to the Club to help support the long-term future of Leicestershire CCC.

Any donations will of course be extremely appreciated and as a Thank You, we will be introducing the Exclusive 2020 Membership category, with a range of benefits which are detailed below.
 
  • A ‘2020 Members’ souvenir plaque. Your name and the year will be positioned onto a plaque and mounted onto a wall that will be then housed at the Fischer County Ground for seasons to come.
  • An invitation to meet and watch the players at a private training session followed by a live Q&A afterwards. (The time and date of this session will depend on when it is safe to be able to do so).
  • Access to watch all of Leicestershire CCC’s home games via our live streaming footage. You will also receive access to an online scorecard that you can print at home
  • A keepsake 2020 membership card (sent to you during August 2020)
To take up this option, you do not need to do anything as your membership will be automatically updated.

 

Defer
All Membership categories can choose to defer their Membership to the 2021 season.

To do this, please fill out the Membership deferral form and email it to [email protected] before Friday 21 August 2020.

When choosing this option, your 2020 membership will be cancelled and replaced with a 2021 Membership.

 

Refund
All Members will be able to receive a refund of their Membership fee at the end of the 2020 season.

To apply for this option you must fill out the Membership refund form and email this to [email protected].

The deadline for refund applications is Friday 7 August 2020.

Refunds will then be processed at the end of the 2020 season.

1st game is more than likely going to be played at New Road(Worcester), it’s definitely not at Grace Road as the council KO’d that.

 

But they’re highly hopeful the 2nd game will be back at Grace Road, not that it really matters that much with no fans allowed in.

Guess, given they're being played over weekends (something that should happen more by the way), that no club grounds would be able to stage it?

I presume they havent come over this season. Cut their contracts short move on. 

 

Cossie been good at times but well past his best. Horton never really lived up to his billing. 

 

Presume Klein will also leave. Otherwise he and Ackermann will be our two overseas as no Kolpaks next year

Cosgrove and Horton are leaving. I did hear they were going down the young player route this season and if you read the rest of what Nixon says in the interview he makes that point. Makes a lot of sense really. 
 

Sad to see Cozzy go as he’s been a great player for the County but he looked well past his best last year so time to move on.

‘‘ We want to be one of the fittest sides, be one of the best runners between the wickets & keep raising the bar in different areas. We'll move forward without those guys. Cossie was first in, last away. He was a big member of the dressing room with a never say die attitude’m
