What do you reckon our best ever T20 team would look like? Not necessarily the best players for us but from their overall career too.

Sehwag

Afridi

Maddy

Hodge

Al Hasan

Nixon

Kevin O'Brien

Snape

Jerome Taylor

Broad

Henderson

No Darren Stevens?

Not looking good for the County, I really hope all 18 counties survive this disaster.

They should be ok received extra money from the ECB all staff have been furlough and they will save money from not hosting championship matches which  they make a loss on every match played. They would have made good money from the 2 Concerts though. and of course the T20

Forgot to say Gloucestershire announced the other week that even if no cricket is played this season they still expect to break even

This is really interesting, the saving on wages and the savings made on county championship cricket should offset any losses felt through the catering side of things.

Its important that the T20 gets played.

The 2 lost concerts are a concern as well.

Unfortunately I can't see any t20 being played this year when there's talk of social distancing measures being kept in place for months to come.

Cricket is one of the most social distance-y sports to be fair. Think of a standard set-up when a seam bowler starts his run-up - only the slips/keeper and maybe the umpire and non-striking batsman are within 2 metres of each other. You've got people running past each other but generally it's pretty isolated.

Would anyone really know the difference if a County Championship match was being played behind closed doors? lol You could have a rule of each spectator having 30 seats to themselves and attendances wouldn't be down on a normal season.

Providing the government allow for it, the ECB are desperate for the T20 to be played. Even if that is within the space of a month in August. We can only presume that no crowds would be allowed but I would imagine the TV money for broadcasting the T20 would go some way.

In fairness in the county championship the county would be happy to have 1 spectator for every 30 seats

I cant see them playing T20 behind closed doors. The only way you make money is on the night or day from ticket revenue and bar, food etc.

I mean TV will show a game a day. Two or three at a weekend rest of the time just be a game behind closed doors nobody watching, not on tv making even more of a loss than usual.

Might work at some grounds but I'd imagine it would be tougher at places like Taunton and Chelmsford- smaller grounds for teams with good followings. Grace Rd would be fine, as would Northampton, Derby and some of the Test venues but I doubt Somerset and Essex would be keen to turn fans away.

Nico mentioned they were close to getting a second overseas white ball player in.

When did he say this? Can't imagine they'll be getting anyone else in now as there's a very good possibility we won't be seeing any cricket this summer.

Strange thing to say most sides have already cancelled the contracts of overseas players for this season.Cant see any live sport played until we have all had our mandatory micochipped Bill Gates vaccine tbh

Desperately hoping Big Phil can pull through. Absolute Leicestershire legend and the nicest bloke you could ever meet. 🙏

Sad news a legend of the club for over 30 years.Sadly know he's struggled with his health in recent years he could barely walk the last time I saw him
