I do think this short burst of matches may help the smaller teams- no long journeys and no time to build up a long season of poor results and demoralising matches. Winning the first could give us a real boost.

Derbyshire chased down 365 to win today, that'll be a tough match. Durham at home a week later is very winnable.

I know Lancs were without most their bowling attack, but to out bowl them like that is impressive.

 

When was the last time Leics were top of any table? Good chance to extend that against Derbys as well, though they’ll be thinking the same thing.
