Barnes 'rotated out', which is harsh on the lad, considering his bowling and batting performances. I suppose you just have to keep playing your overseas players in the hope they will settle.

A day that actually contained some promise for once, but two run outs and some interesting dismissals mean we leave it less well placed than we should have been. 300 for 5 was well within range at one stage. Still, in the context of the season thus far, almost decent. Rishi played really well in the clips I watched. He earned a good run in the team already

I didn’t watch the last hour and a half. How come there were suddenly so many people bowled? Did the new ball do a lot?

 

It’s been a low scoring ground so far this season, but can’t help but feel this is a massive missed opportunity. Should be plenty of spin for Parkinson though.

It was a bad shot. I'm all for being positive. But.......

Most frustrating is that Swindells, Mulder and Kimber all got a good start. The run outs were frustrating too. Steel's first ball dismissal, yep frustrating too. Evans 20 odd off of 120 odd balls was torturous.

 

So it was all frustrating.

 

Credit to Patel who looked good though and Azad did put some runs up.
