Well, ideally you find someone with a couple of those qualities. Direct AND great in the air. Or.. if you've got a genuine attack minded midfielder, think Izzet etc, the need to have a striker in the mould of Connolly to come and get it is alleviated.

McLeod looks like he can offer that though: Can't see the point of signing another striker who is the same kind of player as what we have here at the moment and Mcleod looks like the type of player we need. He is strong, quick, seems to have a good first touch and can finish. I think if we can get the midfield right Mcleod, Hume, Fryatt and Best will score us goals. Our midfield has been a weakness for a while now and I do think that is why haven't scored enough goals.

He shows a pretty wide range of attributes - running off the back man, near-post and generally reasonable heading, close control, good decision-making and calmness in his finishing, plenty of movement and decent pace, strength, good balance ... Not a comfortable player to mark and almost certainly better than what we've got unless those clips seriously flatter to deceive. Be interested to hear a Dons fan's thoughts on the clips.

The rest would rather he went and we re-invested in 3 or 4 decent players. Gives up if he's being well marked. - Workrate. Downright lazy at times - Cannot jump to win a ball with his head in open play - Has never read the flicks off our target plan (who wins most balls in the air) - Movement off the ball. Rarely does - * He misses loads of chances - yes he creates most himself, but with 5 scored of the 30-40 he missed, we'd be a league up He is an ENIGMA - brilliant at times, downright useless at others. The best example I can give for Izale is when I took my dad to see his first MK Dons game at Accrington Stanley last season. Izale took the ball down the left, cut back in side, beat his man and the ball was coming back out of the goal before my dad had even seen it go in... Good luck to Izale if he goes , but start playing your Take That 'Patience' track

The clips do make him look good, but then I am sure someone could knock up a package and make him look awful as well. I am certainly encouraged by the skills he seems to have though as he does look different to what we have already. Ok, so he's playing in league two but holding off four defenders in the penalty area before scoring is impressive in any division in my book.

I am very fearful. He'll have to hit the ground running, otherwise I can see it being a waste of money and very embarrassing. If we have £1.5 million to spend on a striker it's essential we get it right. I cannot remember the last time we spent over a million on a player. I would much rather we go for Gary O'Connor, Cameron Jerome or Nathan Ellington.

The likes of Graham Kavanagh, Neil Danns, Cameron Jerome, Nathan Ellington, etc are all up for grabs for less than £2 mill. If we could get 2 of them in for no more than £2 mill then we'd be laughing.

He looks a cool finisher, has pace and numerous other attributes. Obviously im sure someone could knock up a video that made Elvis look decent, but he looks pretty good. 1.3 millions still too much though.

He'd cost about the same as McLeod but is definitely great in the air and a goal scorer to boot. O'Connor looks a VERY interesting prospect. Some nice finishing on that video Ric. McLeod Bad points- Mental focus / attitude - call it what you will. Gives up if he's being well marked. This worries me quite a bit...It's not like he's unheard of now, so stands a good chance of being marked out of lots of games. I really think we should give him a miss. TBH, I don't think the Leicester fans will have too much patience this year with all the activity going on, can see him having a hard time with the fans when he's missing lots of chances.

Allen obviously has a lot of faith in him from his time at MK Dons. I don't know much about Jarvis, maybe the money we got from Paddy will go towards that.
