PAULCFC Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 Quit your whining you idiots. We'll sign whatever we can sign and we'll be damn grateful for it. We'd already be in League One without Mandaric IMO.Newsflash. We're not a big, rich club anymore. Get over it. But Carl Cort?
FLORIDAFOX-FORTMYERS Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 CARL CORT'S GOAL REEL FROM 05/06 SEASON, WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT WE'RE GETTING. THE REALLY IMPORTANT THING ABOUT THESE GOALS IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY IS GOOD SUPPLY FROM THE WINGS... AND A PRETTY GOOD MIDFIELD......... BLUE ARMY !!!!!! PAUL FLORIDA FOX .....
Thracian Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 CARL CORT'S GOAL REEL FROM 05/06 SEASON, WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT WE'RE GETTING. THE REALLY IMPORTANT THING ABOUT THESE GOALS IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY IS GOOD SUPPLY FROM THE WINGS... AND A PRETTY GOOD MIDFIELD......... BLUE ARMY !!!!!! PAUL FLORIDA FOX ..... Two things strike me if we can keep him fit - he can win a ball in the air at the back post and he gets deep into the box. Both attributes should help us because they've been lacking.

Stevosevic Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 But Carl Cort? Stop moaning, we all know what hes capable of when hes fit. He is fit now so whats to moan about? He will start pre-season and we have to be optimistic he will start the season.
Stevosevic Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 didnt realise cort was an out and out striker?

Daggers Posted 8 June 2008 Posted 8 June 2008 His last game was mid-November before undergoing hospitalisation for a cartlidge operation. He spent three months convalesing and then failed to break back into the squad. 78 appearances plus 16 as sub - no goals last season but a decent horde over the previous two. Reckon he's good for at least 15 a season, and he'll be helping whoever to bag more. I'm OK with this signing. I bet Thracian will give it a +0.33 How about that - I could have picked from a load of posters to highlight their stupidity and yet I chose mine. What a twat. (Oh Ric, check your opinions out )
Simi Posted 8 June 2008 Posted 8 June 2008 Mixed feelings about this transfer. Obviously if we can keep him fit he will do a good job, but keeping him fit has proved very hard for his past clubs, I'm sure Newcastle regret spending that 7m on him. It makes it better that we've spent no money on him, however I doubt his wages came cheap with four other clubs after him.I'd be much more happy with this signing if we got another striker in who is going to get us 20 odd goals, but I'm sure that will come later on along with a couple of decent midfielders. Any time now...
Brainy Posted 8 June 2008 Posted 8 June 2008 From OSFoxes Capture Cort Posted on: Fri 08 Jun 2007Leicester City have today (Friday) completed a major transfer coup in securing the signing of former Newcastle United and Wolves striker Carl Cort. Cort, who moved to St James' Park from Wimbledon in a deal worth £7 million in 2000, joins the Foxes on a two-year contract. The 29-year-old becomes manager Martin Allen's fourth signing of the week - following the capture of former AC Milan and Bolton defender Bruno N'Gotty, highly rated Danish goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen and young striker Ricky Sappleton. And Allen confirmed that he had beaten off competition from a number of clubs to secure his most recent acquisition's signature. Allen said: "Carl has quality and I am delighted he has chosen us over four other clubs, including one from the Premiership. "I believe I am going to get the best out of him. I am going to work him hard and push him to maximise his ability. Then the ball is in his court." Chairman Milan Mandaric said he was equally pleased with the capture. He added: "I am delighted that we have attracted a player of Carl's calibre to the club. "He met the sole criteria of what this club is all about." Cort arrives at the Walkers Stadium on a free transfer, having been released by Wolves at the end of last season. The striker began his career at Wimbledon as a teenager, and got his first taste of league football through a loan spell with Lincoln City. After a successful period at Sincil Bank, he made his debut for the Dons in their 2-0 Premiership home defeat to Aston Villa at the back end of the 1996-97 campaign, before making his real breakthrough to the first team the following season. Cort ended the 1997-98 season with five goals to his name from 29 appearances. All in all the Southwark-born striker would make 54 league starts in a Wimbledon shirt, scoring on 16 occasions. A £7 million move to Newcastle followed, with Cort scoring on his home debut against Derby County. But a frustrating run of injuries restricted the player to 22 starts during his time at St James' Park. After four years on Tyneside, Cort moved to Wolves for £2 million in January 2004, and went on to score 31 goals from 94 appearances during his three-year spell with the Molineux club. A Premiership club were interested?
dandannieldanok Posted 8 June 2008 Posted 8 June 2008 He'll get injured in the first month of the new season and we'll never see him again. Nearly
