GARYafCb Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Pitman must hate this kid I think Brett's getting used to it
Thracian Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 From the Bournemouth OS AFC Bournemouth 2-0 Millwall Maxi double extends home run Cherries: Forde, Bradbury, Cooper, Pearce, Gowling, Tessem (Pitman ht), Hollands, Bartley, McQuoid (Partington 68), Gradel, Vokes (Hutchings 83). Subs: Pryce, Franks. Millwall: Evans, Senda, Robinson, Harris, Savage (Brkovic 61), Martin, Simpson, Fuseini, Shaw (Gaynor 88), Karacan, Craig. Subs: Pidgeley, Bignot, Cochrane. Att: 4,962 Cherries were granted a shooting chance after just one minute. Richard Shaw felled Bartley and Cooper's free kick flashed past the post. The referee had to deal with a few sliding challenges in the greasy conditions although kept a lid on affairs in the opening exchanges. Neil Harris nearly broke the deadlock for the visitors on fourteen minutes. His overhead kick from ten yards out was excellently tipped over the bar by Cherries keeper David Forde. Forde has to punch away two further high balls into the Cherries box before landing awkwardly when clearing a cross from the right hand side. The keeper was fine to continue and on twenty-eight minutes made a good save down to his left to deny David Martin as Millwall began to gain control. Cherries were struggling to create chances and the next effort of any note was Lee Bradbury's curling shot wide of the far post on thirty-three minutes. Maxi Gradel showed he wasn't afraid to have a pop at goal with two quick attempts from the edge of the area. McQuoid and Gradel switched flanks for the closing minutes of an uneventful first half. The youth team player swung a cross for the Leicester loanee, but Gradel misjudged the bounced and the ball landed safely behind. Half time: AFC Bournemouth 0-0 Millwall The second half was slow to take shape with both sides continuing to frustrate each other in the middle of the park. Half time sub Brett Pitman had the ball in the net with a well angled drive, but it was ruledd offside from Voksey's ball. A loose ball in the middle of the park gave Jay Simpson a run on goal after fifty-five minutes, but Josh Gowling blocked well to concede a corner. From the flag kick Bas Savage had a chance at goal that beat Forde and was headed away from the line by Shaun Cooper. A deep free kick from Danny Hollands just shy of the hour mark caught out former Cherries trialist Rhys Evans. The Welsh keeper back pedalled and clawed the ball away from goal. A harshly awarded penalty gave Millwall a glorious chance to take the lead on sixty-three minutes. Shaun Cooper was adjudged to have felled Jem Karacan in the box. In fairness to the former Cherries midfielder, Karacan didn't appeal. Neil Harris stepped up and struck his penalty at a nice height for David Forde to save down to his right. Armet Brkovic acted quickest and was first to the rebound, but he missed the target with the goal gaping. His next attempt at goal three minutes later was a much better one. A centrally struck free kick from twenty-five yards was tipped away from the top corner by the ever more impressive Forde. After Cherries had weathered the Millwall storm Brett Pitman hit the post with a rasping effort. Maxi Gradel ran onto a hopeful forward ball and as Richard Shaw failed to clear effectively Pitman lashed in a shot that clipped the outside of the far post. Wth fifteen minutes remaining it was Bournemouth's turn to be awarded a spot kick. Sam Vokes took a knock to the face in challenging a high ball. Despite missing a penalty last week at Gillingham Max Gradel was adamant in taking this one. Brett Pitman reluctantly left him to it and Gradel smashed the ball in the bottom left corner. If there was any doubt over who should have taken the penalty there was no doubting the sheer quality of the second. Maxi Gradel took the ball from the left touch line, rounded three players and shot a powerful effort into the far corner. Usually restrained, Kevin Bond punched the air in delight as the three points were secured. Final Score: AFC Bournemouth 2-0 Millwall :D Nice to know you don't just have to take my word!
stokiemark Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Hope you dont get relegated by 1 point to the sheff wendieshave a look at this
sdb Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 He sure seems promising. Ver y excited even though he'll be dismissed by everyone after 1 average performance!! He's clearly a bit up himself which can be a good and bad thing. I wonder if he'll demand to take pens with us next year? Either way i think what we've done with him this season was very wise, although some may disagree. He sounds a winner too which will be great for us, as well as a talented right midfielder!
Daggers Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Je want voir Le Gradel dans notre equipe next saison.
General Smuts Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Je want voir Le Gradel dans notre equipe next saison. Voulais Vous Couche Avec Moi C'est Soir?
Head Honcho Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jMglbAhyuSQ Now where have I heard this tune before?
Flynny Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Ooh, ooh, I'm good at French! Je m'appelle un petit dejeuner. Or something.
Daggers Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Voulais Vous Couche Avec Moi C'est Soir? J'adore le Abba
GARYafCb Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 I hope Bournemouth stay up just because of Max. Me too!!
Bert Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Me too!! Surely you should be hoping that you stay up because you're a Bournemouth fan?
Kilworthfox Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Surely you should be hoping that you stay up because you're a Bournemouth fan? Bournemouth have too much to do. Their practically down.
Daggers Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Any Johnny Hayes news? He's being average at that level. I see little future for him with us.
Ric Flair Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 I've heard Drogba has been down to watch Gradel play for Bournemouth, wants him in the National line-up already. Stunnign work from him again. With him and Bell in the squad next season on the right, we might hurt a few teams. If we can sign Hendrie and get another reliable left winger, then things will start to happen for us.
C.J Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Hopfully we'll get him back next season because I think his time has come and he deserves a chance judging by the ratings he's getting in the papers and the goals he's scoring for Bournmooooooouth. Plus, their going down, and we wouldnt want him playing in League 2 would we, not the level of experience he needs. Only thing is, this happened eairier in the season and on Saturday. They got a penalty and Max wrestled the ball off of the designated taker and took the kick and scored on both occasions. Their boss has said that 'max is a law in himself'. If we did get him back, do you think we should get rid of this aspect of his game? Also he's got those Orange boots, which are clearly boosting his ego too much.

We will get him back for next season no doubt. Will he start tho? Exceptions have always been made for talent or that edge that wins matches.
Samilktray Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Couldn't this have just gone in the loanees thread, wherever that is.
C.J Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 From what ive seen on T.V playing for bournmouth, he's quick as shit of a shovel and not afraid to take people on, tricky too Edit, keith: I've been thinking about making this thread all day, dont spoil my thunder-!! But, yeah it could of done.
Joe. Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Yeah Ollie's said we'll get him back and he'll take a better look at him pre-season. If he's got what it takes he'll be in the first team squad with any luck and we'll see what he can do. Howevere now there's a strong possibility of us getting Bell on a permanent come end of season Max has got more competition.

lildave3 Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Yes, the colour of his boots are making him arrogant.
James. Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Their boss has said that 'max is a law in himself'. If we did get him back, do you think we should get rid of this aspect of his game? On the contrary I think a touch of arrogance wouldn't go amiss in our squad.
