Kilworthfox Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Yes, the colour of his boots are making him arrogant. Same happend to me when I moved from blue to silver Vapours
Jack Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 From bits and bobs I have seen of him this season he has looked very good. He looks like a handy player, his pace will trouble defenders and he scores a few goals along the way. Im looking forward to seeing him in a City shirt and see what he can do. Also if Bell is signed the right wing position will be looking very tasty
C.J Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 I noticed Zsolt wearing them in warm up on saturday, but thankfully he took them off when he came on. Anyway, back on topic. I was wondering what your views on these penalty incedents are.

gosfox Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Yeah Ollie's said we'll get him back and he'll take a better look at him pre-season. If he's got what it takes he'll be in the first team squad with any luck and we'll see what he can do.Howevere now there's a strong possibility of us getting Bell on a permanent come end of season Max has got more competition. Bit of competition never hurt anyone
frenzal Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTJipteEWvc# I like a bit of character in a player even if he does look like he's throwing his toys out a little bit. Keeper nearly got to it though...in which case he would have looked like a right tit.
Thracian Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 On the contrary I think a touch of arrogance wouldn't go amiss in our squad. Here, here. Being fair to Holloway I think the likes of Hendrie and Bell do suggest he's looking at people who can do a bit instead of just act as automatons. Whether Gradel will get enough licence to be himself is another matter but I hope so. People like him put bums on seats and lord knows we've been a boring lot to watch for far too long.
Flynny Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Holloway also confirmed that he was keeping close tags on the Leicester City youngsters who are currently out on loan.Max Gradel hit the headlines on Saturday after scoring twice to help Bournemouth to victory, while Louis Dodds (Lincoln), Conrad Logan (Stockport), Eric Odhiambo (Dundee United), Jonathan Hayes (Northampton) and Alan Shush! (Leeds United) are all currently plying their trade away from the Walkers Stadium. He added: "My scouting network keeps a close eye on the lads we have currently got out on loan. "We had Max back at the training ground for a week while his second loan deal was being sorted out, and I am looking forward to working with him over the summer. Gary Penrice has watched him three times and we believe he is in the right place at the moment. He's getting some valuable experience."
Bryn Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 I do see where Holloway is coming from on this. I think every game he plays down there will strengthen him. He's settled there, he knows his role, he knows his coach. Coming back into our setup would effectively be moving to an entirely new team, with all this year's upheaval. He'd need time to settle in, to get to know the new players and the manager and whatever system we play. I think his time in Bournemouth will boost his confidence and ability, and then we can use the preseason to fit him into the team properly.
Ric Flair Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Holloway now realises what a talent he may have on his hands, he wasn't quite aware of that at the time. He's not the only one that is looking forward to him coming back here for next season. I can't wait to see him attempting to wrestle Steve Howard for the penalties next season. It will be like a real life Mayweather v Big Show, but without the brass knuckles as Howard would leather him.
FleckneyFox Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Thats weird because Dodds and Gradel are the only ones playing atm.
Thracian Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Thats weird because Dodds and Gradel are the only ones playing atm. That's weird too because Shush! got a player rating of 7 after Leeds' game on Saturday.
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 That's weird too because Shush! got a player rating of 7 after Leeds' game on Saturday. Yes he does play near enough every game, and seems to be settling somewhat after a very bad start.
Thracian Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Yes he does play near enough every game, and seems to be settling somewhat after a very bad start. If that's grudging praise I'm surprised. Deep down I don't think you'd rate him if he got a succession of 10's.
Dr The Singh Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 If that's grudging praise I'm surprised. Deep down I don't think you'd rate him if he got a succession of 10's. Good luck to the fella, his career is back on track and city are ok without him, everyone's a winner!!!

Samilktray Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 That's weird too because Shush! got a player rating of 7 after Leeds' game on Saturday. A friend of mine who's a Leeds fan said Saturday was his best performance in a Leeds shirt. He still doesn't rate him mind.
Thracian Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 A friend of mine who's a Leeds fan said Saturday was his best performance in a Leeds shirt. He still doesn't rate him mind. Can't imagine he did too bad the week before either. Another clean sheet and a rating of 6 which was about as much as anyone got if memory serves. Don't suppose the Leeds fan would be related to Manwell would he?

sdb Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 That's weird too because Shush! got a player rating of 7 after Leeds' game on Saturday. bloody hell get him back asap!! good to hear Ollie's views on Gradel; he's at the right place atm
Thracian Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 .....great ratings of 6 in League One can't wait to have him back. I'd love to see Laczko get a second rating above six. Yet they make enough fuss of him just as they did Kaebi who probably didn't rate much more than four even in the reserves on more than the odd occasion and Clapham who, though he's been steady enough, has never threatened a goal/assist. The double standards applied are laughable - even now there's significant support to frontline striker Fryatt whose combined goals and assists is still one less than defender Shush!'s and the Irishman's been gone for 10 weeks. Never mind. Perhaps Shush! will make his own statement if his next permanent club and ours are ever pitched against one another.
