James. Posted 13 February 2008 Author Posted 13 February 2008 I speak the truth that is all. You do. Although as Trav Le Bleu said trying to protect £400 of someone else's money in a very busy tube station during rush hour is an unenviable task to say the least!
The People's Hero Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I want £400 (and some cake). You're a butcher, James, a heinous butcher.
AyewJoking Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I thought you could only take £250 at the most out of cash machines but anyway, a big wad like that would make it very hard not to take it.
Phube Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Happened to me once... only twenty quid or so... I left it until the bleeps stopped and it was sucked back into the machine... I'm a good boy me (see Thieving thread!! (sorry internet download thread!))
Zingari Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 where's AOWW 2 Spelling mistakes in the thread title and no admonishments yet , very poor show
Alexikokopops Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 where's AOWW 2 Spelling mistakes in the thread title and no admonishments yet , very poor show I've saved the day!
AoWW Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 where's AOWW 2 Spelling mistakes in the thread title and no admonishments yet , very poor show I've saved the day! Pedant! I was quite happy ignoring them.
lildave3 Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Sly look around, if the coast is clear i'd have pocketed it.
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Sly look around, if the coast is clear i'd have pocketed it. And spent it all on hookers and class a's no doubt. Its the smallens you've got to watch out for.
Asha Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 The police will only blow it on Mushroom Chop Sui and a louder, brighter siren. I'd say try and find her, if not keep it.
lildave3 Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 And spent it all on hookers and class a's no doubt. Its the smallens you've got to watch out for. Is that the Hookers motto?
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Is that the Hookers motto? Ha, theres an open invatation for a ye mum joke if ever I've seen one.
Koke Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 The minute you left, those coppers would have split the money in half and pissed off to the nearest pub. So yeah, you were better off taking the money yourself.
James. Posted 13 February 2008 Author Posted 13 February 2008 The minute you left, those coppers would have split the money in half and pissed off to the nearest pub. So yeah, you were better off taking the money yourself. No they wouldn't. You just have a thing against police.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I wouldn't have taken it, because IT BELONGS TO SOMEONE ELSE. I'd have given it to the coppers. I know a lot of people on here seem to have it in for the Old Bill, but generally speaking policemen are honest individuals that want to uphold the law and help people. That's generally the motivation being a policeman, I find
Lovejoy Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Being a suv'ner, i'd have taken it without a second thought.
James. Posted 13 February 2008 Author Posted 13 February 2008 Oi! Kokopops! I just saw my first post has got your filthy editing fingers all over it. What were you changing at 12:22pm hmm? I'm thinking you've changed my perfectly reasonable spelling of "dilemna" in the sub title of the thread to "dilemma". Disgrace.
ASH17LCFC Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Took it, wouldn't thought twice about handing it in being a nice guy. 400 quid better off ... YES PLEASE.
Head Honcho Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Four hundred nicker's worth of party poppers would make for a humdinging night in too Sod the party I'd just go for the poppers Can't you claim the money after a certain time?
Leicester Lass Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Sorry, but you have to be pretty bloody daft to leave £400 behind in a cash machine don't you? Fair enough maybe forgetting the receipt but forgetting that amount of cash, jeez But I would've still given it in, I'm good
filbertway Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I wish someone ahd that honesty when i lost my wallet on the train. I Say lost, I mean left it on the trian somehow.
Nationwider Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Surely the only appropriate course of action would have been to: Take the money. Stand in a prominent place and sing (as loud as possible) the last lines of Nessun Dorma:- Vincerò! Vinceeeeeeeeerò! Throw the money in the air and run off, laughing.
Daggers Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Can't you claim the money after a certain time? Too late - I've done it
Koke Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 No they wouldn't. You just have a thing against police. Maybe you're right. But I still stand by my more likely theory.
