Number 6 Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I really hope this does all get resolved today because the debate is really boring now
Number 6 Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Do you wear stupid trousers and a flat cap when you play? i think plus fours only get sold to idots playing pub golf now. shame really, always makes me think of payne stewart
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I really hope this does all get resolved today because the debate is really boring now Im afraid it wont be.... I believe MM is deffering his decision (which has already been made - Holloway stays) so that all those ST holders will renew before the 'early bird' deadline expires so as to get ST's cheap, then come June 1st he'll announce Ollie stays but it'll be too late for all those Ollie haters cos they'll have renewed already.... Clever business from MM again....

OriginalRobboFOX Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 according to SSN they are in discussions as we speak On how we can get out of this league and move forward. MM has even said his decision will not be made today.
mancunianfox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 You a fan of the Who? Lets just hope that Milan 'Won't get fooled again' :-)
step Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Come on - all of you carping on that he should be sacked, explain to me this: Why, when there is no decent, reasonable suggestion for his replacement? And Where is the severance money coming from with a drop in revenue at the club? The Contract Termination Fairy? Someone explain to me how being one million pounds worse off and not having a management team is better than what we currently have because I am ****ed if I can understand your logic. Please. :huh Can answers not include reference to his tactics, his record, his salary not being cut or his appearances in the media. Oh, and no mention of Bristol Rovers. Thanks The logic is simple, He is one of the worst managers around so any alternative would be better. and financially, could the club afford to continue spending money on players and a manager that dont deliver.

OriginalRobboFOX Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Lets just hope that Milan 'Won't get fooled again' :-) Or maybe he could bring in a 'Substitute'
Number 6 Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I think so, if the decision hasn't been made yet then would have thought he is staying.
Maybes Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I think so, if the decision hasn't been made yet then would have thought he is staying. Do you not read the other posts?? Milan is not making his decision today!!!!
Mark Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Do you not read the other posts?? Milan is not making his decision today!!!! If Milan wants to and is able to do something he'll have done it weeks ago, waiting around considering options isn't his game. He'd get rid if he can, problem is he can't afford to. He's sat there with Holloway and Penrice trying to come up with a League 1 masterplan, we're in for a wait.
Master Fox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I'm getting bad vibes. He's staying isn't he? Where are you picking up these vibes from Ric?
Ric Flair Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Where are you picking up these vibes from Ric? My emancipating mental slavery.

He agonised for weeks before sacking Kelly, and dismissing Allen was a fairly drawn-out affair too, being trailed in the media for days before it happened. The problem may be that no-one deemed to be of sufficient quality will be interested, or that prospective targets (Adams, Dowie) are being snapped up by other clubs. The majority both on here and on the Mercury website has been fairly conclusive in indicating the action MM should take. But given what happened to Paul Jewell (this board's preferred choice in November) during the course of the season, perhaps it's not surprising he's having second thoughts.

This is definately what is happening now.... You can imagine it cant you... MM ''what we gonna do now then??'' IH ''Erm..... Gary, what do u think??'' GP ''Not sure Ian...'' IH ''I know, lets just stick Barry Hayles up front on his own, flood the midfield with players out of position, maybe we could have Stevey Howard, wait for it... in central midfield.....'' MM ''I think we're onto somethin here....'' GP ''Hold on, we can better that, lets play that centre half we've just signed, Worley, alongside Howard in midfield'' IH ''Yeah!!! And I could bring Matty Fryatt on as an impact sub and give him 6 mins every game?!?!?!?!'' MM ''We're gonna piss this league....''

Manwell Pablo Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Serious question, who thinks Holloway would fail to get us promoted first time of asking.
davieG Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Serious question, who thinks Holloway would fail to get us promoted first time of asking. I do, but that wouldn't be just down to Holloway it would be a case of the whole club under estimating the task, just like we appear to have done since we left the Premier League.
breadandcheese Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Serious question, who thinks Holloway would fail to get us promoted first time of asking. Me. I do not think Holloway possesses the qualities to succeed. Right now, we need a manager to take the club and players into the reality of the situation. Every team will be wanting to beat us next season and will think nothing of kicking us off the park. We will need some real leadership, tactical nous and character to get our team into the right mentality. For me, Holloway will not do this.
