Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 12 December 2008 Author Posted 12 December 2008 Also, I have just seen an N-Dubz video for the first time. What a load of awful, cliche-ridden shit that was. Nod, nod, lunge, nod.

potter3 Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 The true definition of indie is music without a major record label is it not?
Fosse Boy Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 The true definition of indie is music without a major record label is it not? Yeah, but what can you do when the NME keep changing the dictionary definitions all the time?
Father Ted Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 Just about to slag off N-Dubz but MTWG beat me to it! Who the feck does he think he is? He thinks he's a bloody gangster who doesn't know how to wear a hat properly!

He thinks he's a bloody gangster who doesn't know how to wear a hat properly! N-Dubz WTF. Chavvy twat. The video where they're all gathered round a t-shirt nodding made me cringe.
Finchy Posted 20 December 2008 Posted 20 December 2008 The true definition of indie is music without a major record label is it not? Well yes but come on it's not been like that since before Brit Pop.
Lillehamring Posted 20 December 2008 Posted 20 December 2008 The true definition of indie is music without a major record label is it not? which, ironically, only includes a few gutiar-band labels htese days, and a lot of 'urban' labels..... Yeah, but what can you do when the NME keep changing the dictionary definitions all the time? stop reading the nme, perhaps?
Samilktray Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Asher Roth. Has to be some sick and twisted joke, I'd much rather listen to Soulja Boy than this talentless gimp.
Corky Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Alesha Dixon at the moment. I normally don't mind her music, but her latest I'm not fond of. Cheer up woman.

Joe. Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Alphabeat The band everybody hates to love surely?! You know it's a gulty pleasure of yours, just admit it. We're all the same when it comes to Alphabeat really y'know.

We're all the same when it comes to Alphabeat really y'know. Nope. I really do detest them. Put them against Same Difference and they're mediocre at best.

purpleronnie Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Alphabeat are great, pure pop, why people dislike them and love bands like The KOOKS is beyond me, they sing about the same things..but bands like The Kooks try and be all cool about it, if you pick up a guitar you better have something to say because if you dont whats the point?
hairy Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 if you pick up a guitar you better have something to say because if you dont whats the point? Money................

Agree with that. Hear lots of both Alphabeat and Kooks and work and I know which one I prefer to have to endure all day... ...and it's not some faux-Northern public school ponces.
