Thracian Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 I think it was on the OS a while back and Taggart is still in and around the club I think... Self-defence instructor at The Academy!
sdb Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 could be very valuble. let's hope he gets a decent fist at it.

lcfcrinaldi Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 On loan to Bournemouth, maybe the next Gradel?
Edmund Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Nice to see that were building good ties with bournemouth, could be very usefull in the future in nurturing our talent. The likes of Defoe and Gradel made a name for themselves there.
Jonezy Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Nice little move. What connection do MM have with Bournemouth. Looks like they have become our unofficial feeder club since his arrival. If the Sapplezizer hits form, they will win the relegation race against Rotherham.
Joe. Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Ricky told me this yesterday. What?! How? Why? Where? You bastard. You lucky bastard.
Samilktray Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 What?! How? Why? Where? You bastard. You lucky bastard. Bournemouth have been interested in one or two other players i think. Nothing official like, just from what i can gather.

Jonezy Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Mandaric and Kevin Bond go back a long way, they were at Pompey together. I see. Think I actually knew that. Weren't there a Kevin Bond rumour at some point before we got Nigel in just because of that?
Ric Flair Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Bournemouth have been interested in one or two other players i think. Nothing official like, just from what i can gather. I like Bournemouth, I wish they had stayed up. I think we should loan them a few more of our players. When Chambers is back fit, i'd like to see what both he and Sappleton can do as a partnership at first team level. Let them have N'Gotty, Logan, Hayes and Worley if he doesn't get a sniff.
dandannieldanok Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Let them have N'Gotty I thought you said you liked them?

hairy Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Did anyone else notice he wasn't listed in the squad on the back of the programme on Saturday Me thinks evil forces are at work here
Chairman of the Bored Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Up the Cherries. In all departments! A forward line of the Sappletizer and Brett "Chicken" Pitman will have them back in the black in next to no time.
MPH Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 I've mentioned that a loan would be ideal for him and Bournemouth gave our last loanee plenty of football at an elevated level which would be the aim of the excercise. The initial one month makes sense all round and Sappleton will have chance to paint a clearer picture of what his impact could be at League level. Having seen him lots of times I'm still not sure how good he is. When he's bad he can by abyssmal. His control lets him down, he seems sluggish and he can lack the spring to win anything in the air and will inexplicably get pushed off the ball too easily. On another day his control surprises you, he runs quite powerfully and he looks a handful for anyone unlucky enough to be marking him. Through it all his shooting remains a threat. Boy can he whack a ball. And he does so on sight of goal. Bang! There's no thoughts of passing to people better placed. If the goal's in sight he's focused and is invariably on target. The interesting thing will be whether he can improve his consistency and get enough shots in against good defenders. Cos goalkeeper's won't find it easy to stop them whether League he hits them in. Good luck Sapp. was it not last season you were moaning about our youngsters going out on loan?
lildave3 Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Just what he needs, hopefully he'll bang a few goals in
Nick Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Agreed. This is smart for all parties. Well done Pearson.
Wilkesy Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 How dare he leave without saying goodbye Aww bless you Karl. He will be back, bigger, stronger and ready for you!
Daggers Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Would've liked to have seen him feature fo us this season but no doubt the experience will do him good. He's miles from being anywhere near good enough for the first team - this isn't good for him, it's essential!
