Had a mutual acquaintance with Foley - an AP photographer who met him in Libya. The guy on the tape sounds an utter cvntish, wannabe gangster type out to Syria to slaughter the kuffar in return for his 72 virgins. Hope he dies a slow death.

the difference between playing combat games on PS and extending that into real life with real death and blood is that in the former there is no come back. Had he thought this through (which would have required a modicum of brain power) he would have realised that the anonymity he was enjoying is gone , he might as well be walking around with a radar beacon strapped to his head. Once he is identified he will be targeted then  he and whoever he happens to be with at the time will receive a visit from a drone that will ruin his entire day,.

Of course its entirely possible that if he is apprehended by the British authorities  he will have his passport removed and then sue for violation of human rights and win a million quid - but lets hope not

The problem is that he and those like him simply don't care. If you truly believe that you're going to a better world once you leave this one, you no longer give a fvck about who's coming for you.

That's what makes this kind of blind zealotry so dangerous.

That's true...which goes to show there is still just that little bit of uncertainty and fear there.

I hope his mind is full of that when he meets his end, in whatever way.

Roy 'Chubby' Brown filmed reading paper while driving

Roy 'Chubby' Brown was caught on camera by North Yorkshire Police

Comedian Roy "Chubby" Brown was caught on camera reading a newspaper while driving along the A19 in Yorkshire.

Brown, whose real name is Royston Vasey, was photographed by a mobile safety camera with a copy of The Sun held in front of his steering wheel.

The 69-year-old comic was fined £30 by Northallerton magistrates on Wednesday and got four points on his licence.

Brown, of East Harlsey, was also ordered to pay costs of £40 and a victim surcharge of £20.

'Life and death'

Police arrested him after the camera spotted him reading the paper as he drove his Lexus along the A19 southbound near Crathorne, North Yorkshire on 15 May.

Dave Brown, North Yorkshire Police's mobile safety camera manager, said: "This is another case where our mobile safety cameras have proved that they are not just about speed, demonstrating that we have the technology to capture all manner of offences which put road users at risk.

"Motorists must give the road their full attention as a few seconds' lapse in concentration can have catastrophic consequences, literally meaning the difference between life and death."

The portly comedian is best known for his expletive-laden stand-up comedy, but also scored a hit single in 1995 with a blue cover version of the song Living Next Door to Alice.

His real name of Royston Vasey was used as the name of the fictional town which is the setting for the TV comedy The League of Gentlemen.

Birmingham sex abuse teacher Phillip Evans sentence cut
_77252480_phillipevans.jpgPhillip Evans was jailed after admitting charges of sexual assault, voyeurism and making indecent images of children

A teacher who secretly recorded himself sexually assaulting boys at a public school has had his sentence cut.

Phillip Evans, 39, who taught music at King Edward's School in Edgbaston, was jailed for 44 months at Birmingham Crown Court in December.

The court heard he set up spy cameras in changing rooms and he admitted charges of sexual assault, voyeurism and making indecent images of children.

His sentence has been cut to 32 months after a hearing at the Court of Appeal.

A written judgement explaining the decision is expected to be delivered in the next few weeks, the court said.

In December, police said Evans, previously of Warwards Lane, Selly Oak, had "amassed 350,000 indecent images of children over four years".

Evans, who also ran the school's RAF cadet scheme, installed a camera in a store cupboard where he would physically abuse boys.

Detectives said Evans had also bought tiny remote-controlled cameras and hidden them in changing rooms to record pupils as they got ready for sports.

A vicious mother who walked her daughter to school on a dog lead during years of “deplorable” abuse has been jailed for two years.

Jacqueline Angrave (48) subjected her vulnerable daughter to a campaign of cruelty more than a decade ago – punching her, forcing her to take cold baths and subjecting her to relentless insults.

The remorseless mum was handed a suspended sentence on July 9, after she was convicted of two counts of child cruelty.

But yesterday three top judges at London’s Appeal Court backed a bid by Attorney General Jeremy Wright QC to have her “unduly lenient” punishment increased – imprisoning her for two years.

Lord Justice Treacy said Angrave, of Hughenden Drive, off Saffron Lane, Leicester, carried out the shocking “campaign of cruelty” from 1997 to 2003, when her daughter was aged between five and 10.

He said: “The offender used regularly to walk the victim to school using a dog lead when the victim was aged between seven and 10.

“Angrave took care to see no one was able to observe this by removing the lead before they arrived at the school gate.

“On the return journey, the offender would drag the victim by the hair.”

She would also punch her daughter – who is now aged 22 – in the stomach, throw things at her, pinch her, kick her and scratch her in places where the resulting injuries would not show, the appeal judge said.

The girl, who was not named in court, would be forced to take cold showers, with her mother callously rubbing shampoo and soap into her eyes.

“It seemed to the victim that the offender was taking pleasure in hurting her,” Lord Justice Treacy said.

Angrave also targeted her daughter with severe psychological cruelty through a “campaign of relentless insults“, blaming the girl for problems in her own life, including her obesity.

She told the youngster she wished she had never been born, saying she “should have been aborted“, among other vile comments.

“The impact of this campaign of relentless insults was to destroy the victim’s self-esteem and to blight her childhood,” the judge said.

Lord Justice Treacy said Angrave threatened to kill her “vulnerable” daughter if she ever told anyone of the vicious abuse she had meted out.

“The offender’s deplorable acts towards her young child only came to light in the end when she had left her daughter’s home and separated from her father.”

Angrave’s daughter only came forward when her estranged mum tried to contact her after she had turned 18.

The mother, who had no previous convictions, denied any wrongdoing on her arrest but was ultimately found guilty by a jury of child cruelty, through assault and ill treatment.

The author of a pre-sentence report said Angrave continued to deny her offending and showed no remorse. Medical reports showed she suffered from diabetes, failing eye sight and some mental health problems.

Counsel appearing for the Attorney General argued that the initial sentence imposed at Derby Crown Court – a two-year term, suspended for two years – was too lenient for such horrific offending.

Arguing for a stiffer penalty, Oliver Glasgow said: “Whilst Angrave suffered from some physical health problems, also some mental health difficulties, these problems were not such as to make a custodial sentence impossible.”

Lord Justice Treacy, sitting with Mr Justice Sweeney and Mrs Justice Simler, agreed, saying: “This offence was a very serious one.

“In the ordinary circumstances, it called for a significant custodial sentence, even for a person of good character.

“Notwithstanding the submissions made on behalf of the offender, we have come to the conclusion that the sentence imposed was unduly lenient.”

Dismissing claims that Angrave’s personal circumstances meant she was rightly spared immediate custody, he said: “The offending was long-term with considerable ongoing harmful effects on the victim’s life.”

The judge quashed the suspended sentence and jailed Angrave for two years, ordering her to surrender to Leicester Central police station by 5pm yesterday.

An indefinite restraining order, banning her from contacting the victim, remains in place.

At least 43 dogs are confirmed to have died after a suspected arson attack at Manchester Dogs Home.

A male youth has now been arrested on suspicion of deliberately sparking the fire at the animal charity’s rehoming centre in Harpurhey tonight.

More than 20 firefighters are battling the blaze that engulfed the building in Mossbrook Road.

Police were also called to the scene at 7.10pm. The arrested youth is currently in custody being questioned.

A GMP spokesman said: “At the moment it is confirmed that 43 dogs are dead and it is unknown how many are injured.”

He added that the force had been inundated with calls from devastated animal-lovers offering homes to any surviving dogs.

“We are having lots of offers of help from the public, which is really nice,” he said.

“At the moment we don’t know what help will be needed but it is great that so many people are coming forward.”

Pictures of the blaze were posted on social media by concerned people living near to the long-established dogs home, which has capacity to care for 400 dogs.

Residents said they could hear ‘dogs yelping’.

It's wrong but I feel angrier when this sort of thing happens than when people are killed.

Guess it's because they're defenceless. Set fire to a house full of people, as wrong as it is, they usually have the ability to get themselves out, even though it might not be possible they can try, these dogs had no chance, their death sentence had been written the moment that kid started the fire. They can't unlock doors, they can't break windows in order to escape.

It is a bit weird, why don't you like humans

Where did I say that? Every news report people have died and I've become desensitised by it all because it happens do often whereas dogs are defenceless like Facecloth said. Edited by Wookie

It means you are a closeted other-kin. You feel angry because in your subconscious these dogs are your own kind kind. Search your feelings! You know it to be true!
