Dr The Singh Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 Kinell, he is one unlucky lad. He has a strong temperament given his hardship, he's an assett to the club!! I do hope his personal life does get better!!!
Stevosevic Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 Poor lad. Shows he has a great character being able to cope with this and care for his brothers and sisters.
James. Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 It was just a couple of days before the game against Fulham (in the Carling Cup) and I had to fly out to Paris," said Gradel.I then came back and played in the Fulham game. And still tore the Fulham defence a new one in that 2nd half... says a lot about his ability and his mentality.
Munzie Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 I've just watched his interview on 'world'. You would never think that he is currently going through yet another family tragedy judging by his reactions in the video. Maybe keeping his focus on football is helping him cope.

This is a massive club and the fans and staff have been right behind me I guess every team wants to beat us. But if we listen to what the manager says, everything will be okay This is why we love you Max! Good luck lil fella!
Unabomber Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 Just shows how strong his character is. Great pro and I hope things get better for him regarding his family life.

And still tore the Fulham defence a new one in that 2nd half... says a lot about his ability and his mentality. Exactly. He's doing a lot better than I would be if I'd lost my mum and aunt in the space of a year. My thoughts go out to the chap.
Corky Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 What a top lad. His attitude and desire to fight on after the tragedies he's suffered is first class. Hopefully things will look up for him in his personal life, and he'll continue his great form for us. Best of luck Max
Koke Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 He's a very unlucky lad But he is mentally strong, so he'll get through this. Kudos to him.

shlyser Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 good morning I am French, somebody can say to me on which chaine I can look at the match of leicester tomorrow, because I want to see performances of my friends max alain
Thracian Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 The lad's a gem. And the way he's coped so far is a tribute to him. Whatever cards he's dealt nothing seems to subdue his enthuisiasm, endeavour and self belief. And I hope nothing ever does. The game needs people like him.
Asha Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 good morning I am French, somebody can say to me on which chaine I can look at the match of leicester tomorrow, because I want to see performances of my friends max alain Shlyser, je pense que tu vas trouve le match de foot est ne sur pas le télé, mais vous pouvez écoute la radio sur la l'internet. Hope that made sense.
DB11 Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Cos when he starts the opposition just try to hack him down making him lose confidence and be shit. Just like today. Bring him on when the opposition are worn out fgs.
General Smuts Posted 15 September 2008 Posted 15 September 2008 Put him back on the flipping bench, he plays much better frmo there. I apologised to Fez yesterday for believing that he's still not quite got 90 minutes in him. I expect to get ripped a new one for saying that but it's true he is an impact player. It's all about Chris Powell these days.
Ric Flair Posted 15 September 2008 Posted 15 September 2008 I must admit that some teams are becoming accustomed to Gradel this season. Last season at Bournemouth half of the teams had no idea who he was and he run amok. But this season, when he plays the teams that he tore to pieces last season (Millwall being one of them, where he got a brace) they are viciously trying to take him out of the game. I hope the referee's start to take charge, because Millwall's game plan on Gradel was disgusting, but I suppose they don't have the talent to keep him quiet. Gradel needs to find a way of still hurting teams and i'm sure he will do. Many good wingers face this sort of problem and it's the good ones that continue to destroy the opposition. I've said it before and i'll say it again, when teams stick two men on Gradel and try to open him up, we should use the space elsewhere to take advantage and that's why Lloyd Dyer is as crucial to this team as Gradel is. Once Dyer is given the ball more in space when teams have put another one on Gradel, it means we have more movement and then the opposition will be in all sorts of muck. We need to get cleverer, i'm sure we will.

However Gradel SHOULD have been sent off yesterday. Lashing out was extremley unprofessional.

We need to get cleverer, i'm sure we will. What happened Saturday though was that two men were on both of them and our central midfielders were unable to create enough for the strikers to feed off, which is worrying. We need players all across the middle who can take advantage of the space. King's movement was good but his touch wasn't up to it yesterday, which is disappointing but can be rectified. I'd be more worried if it was the other way around. Because the wingers were being pressed back and they weren't getting enough good balls through the centre after about the first 20 minutes the strikers gradually started having to forage back down the pitch at times, allowing Millwall yet more men behind the ball. Tactically spot on by Millwall, but like I said, our CM's should be able to take advantage and didn't.
