Asia at Wolverhampton in the Autumn, having just watched Elton John give a sports aid concert at Stoke Park which was a terrific outdoor event and almost standing setting in terms of quality. Asia did some good stuff in the 80s but, after all but fading from sight, have a new guitarist and a renewed air of optimism. Their latest CD, Gravitas, has been well received. Here's a couple of samples.

Going to see Pearl Jam in Leeds later.

Saw them in Milton Keynes on Friday and they were fantastic.

Great support from OFF! and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club too.

PJ were on for 3 and a half hours in total, I think that was the same as Leeds, wasn't it? Great value for money even if, as a Pearl Jam fan from the start, paying Ticketmaster's charges really grated!

Tramlines is class, such a good vibe.

Beautiful all day as well. Saw some great jazz in Leopald Square and a couple of odd sets in pubs. Been out at plug to see Mosca dj this evening and finished up at DLS/Night Kitchen for some absolutely banging drum and bass,

And as you said, great vibes, no issue with drinking pints walking about in the city centre, everyone chilled and some great music,
