john_lcfc Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 Us moving to accomodate them on the 9th January hopefully indicates that we are in line to keep the Boxing Day game I would have thought. Then again, this is LCFC we're talking about, so anything could happen... my thoughts exactly...why no announcement? grrr
lou Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 No reason why we cant both play Boxing day......... just change the kick off times
Guest Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 As I said i'm not sure maybe i'll be proved wrong, but i've never seen or noticed the Tigers ever moving for us, can't see them starting now. They have, I can't remember specific examples, but they have had earlier kick offs so that we can still have 3pm kick off, for a start. They have also played on friday night.

Fair enough, Spose we/I only see it from our side and it always seems we move, again it's only seeing it from our view but it feels like we move a hell of alot more than they do.

Tigers do have many matches on Sky, so that is a factor about when they play, plus they kick-off at 2.30/2.45 on some days when both are at home. It was agreed between both clubs, we will have to move some (hopefully only a couple at most) and so will they.
Ultra Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 why do we have to get our info from other teams sources. Can our own club not keep us informed when fixtures are? On another note, Id rather we had the boxing day game than them and i'd take some shit game in January moved. The switch of the "switch" game is now on the OS. An announcement would have been appreciated, though..
C-man Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 The switch of the "switch" game is now on the OS.An announcement would have been appreciated, though.. 'Announced' in the Mercury today. There's about two lines on it.
john_lcfc Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 LCFC TO PLAY ON BOXING DAY WITH TIGERS MOVING TO THE SUNDAY !!!! http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/spor...il/article.html bottom two lines of this article, alongside confirmation of the Ipswitch switch. Again great PR from both clubs, not informing anybody through official channels bar two lines hidden in the Merc.
davieG Posted 1 September 2009 Author Posted 1 September 2009 Reading away moved to Monday 26th Oct for Sky http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail...1784151,00.html
Alexikokopops Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 Reading away moved to Monday 26th Oct for Skyhttp://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail...1784151,00.html Bah! I was actually planning to go out in Reading after this because I lived there for about six months and fancied some nostalgia. Joke!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 Reading away moved to Monday 26th Oct for Skyhttp://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail...1784151,00.html For fook sake I was gonna go to this! Bring back league 1! At this rate I wont beat the 9 i got to last year.
davieG Posted 1 September 2009 Author Posted 1 September 2009 Bah! I was actually planning to go out in Reading after this because I lived there for about six months and fancied some nostalgia. Joke! I was organising a big family reunion of cousins from Leicester and Eastbourne - it was going to be either at QPR or Reading and they've moved both of them.
lcfcadam Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 Leicester City's October trip to the Madejski Stadium will be screened live on Sky.Kicking off at 8pm on Monday 26 October, it will be only our eighth ever trip to Reading - and our first visit since December 2005. It will be the first of two matches featuring City's travelling army that will screen on Sky that week, with our trip to Queens Park Rangers following on Friday 30 October. Ticket details are still to be confirmed at the time of writing. Blimey, someone at Sky must like us...
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 I hate SKY. It bollocksed my trip new Newcastle up and now this one too. So pissed off.
lcfcadam Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 Any home games getting screened live? Nothing as yet. Also just realised that Reading away is bad enough on a Saturday afternoon - what the hell's it going to be like on a Monday night whilst being broadcast on Sky?! Early attendance guess: 15,000 with 1500 City fans
Dr The Singh Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 I love sky at the mo, 2 games that I couldn't have watched, now I can watch!!
Tommeh Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 Suits me as Reading is the single worst away in the football league and I wouldn't have gone anyway... but come on!!! Feel for all the fans who woul've gone and will still go.
breadandcheese Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 I hate SKY. It bollocksed my trip new Newcastle up and now this one too. So pissed off. Amen. Was planning on going to Reading. Now I'm not so sure.
00rawat Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 Blimey, someone at Sky must like us... :But they will probabley talk about reading the whole game knowing sky.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 Amen. Was planning on going to Reading. Now I'm not so sure. There is no way I could ever get to an away game at night unless it is fairly local. Why the hell do they never put away to Plymouth or Palace on SKY?
James. Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 Can't think of anything better than a nice Monday evening in Reading. I'll be there.
Legend_in_blue Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 Birtles can clear off. If he's anywhere near these two, someone sabotage his mic!
Shrenchel Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 Suits me as Reading is the single worst away in the football league and I wouldn't have gone anyway... but come on!!! Feel for all the fans who woul've gone and will still go. Bingo. I'd rather have a threesome with my parents. What a shit away day. From a purely selfish point of view, thanks Sky
