Peterboro Post Match Thread

Still unbeaten at home, but i see it as 2 points dropped rather than a good point earned in this case.

Fair play to Peterboro though who came for the win, which made for what sounded like an entertaining game.

Thought this would be tricky, coming from behind shows a bit of spirit, I guess you have to be dissapointed not beating a struggling side, still the unbeaten home record continues and derby lost so not all bad.

Peterborough were always going to come at us all guns blazing, after all it's probably the biggest local derby they'll play this season. By all accounts it sounded like a cracker of a game and at times was real end to end stuff, so I think that continuing to maintain our unbeaten home record is a pretty fair outcome when all's said and done.

We're obviously not going to win all the time, when we don't we need to make sure we don't lose. Despite Peterboro's poor start I think they're still a decent side. Sounded like it was a fair result.

Again, worrying that we seem to be relying on Fryatt for goals again, only player to score in last 6 league games. For all Howards good work (don't know how he played tonight) he needs to start scoring the occasional goal else we're going to have to try someone else. Seeing Cleverley score again tonight, makes me think we should have got him.

Oh god. I've hardly ever seen a worse performance by Leicester City. If we were still managed by Holloway, this would've been a typical 1-0 loss.

Were we shit. First half we didn't show up for an entire 30 minutes. 30 bloody minutes!!! The entire team still asleep, at least the ten bloody field players, Weale excepted.

No drive forward, no passion, no dedication, no plan, no clue. I wonder why these gits even dared entering the pitch. But they've got to take one part of the blame, as Pearson's tactics just didn't work. It was a genius strike gone AWOL. Gallagher on the left flank just couldn't make out what to do and that was symbolic of the entire squad today.

I hope Pearson gave them a right talking to at half-time, because they obviously needed it.

A draw's probably a fair result. Not that Peterborough played exceptionally well, but they could've and should've scored a second just to show the so-called "men" in blue and white what football really means - playing for your club, not playing for your nighttime lullaby.

What a crap match.

Just to name the worst players on the pitch tonight:

Fryatt (bloody selfish tw*t wastes chances by the metre), N'Guessan (piss-poor), Oakley (as a captain, you'd expect more influence on the game), Howard (slow and useless, I'm sorry) and Brown, who was obviously still under the influence. Rock-solid looks and plays differently. Disgraceful.

Meh. Meh. Meh.

One concern is how we seem to need a kick up the arse every game, whether it a half time team talk or opposition goal. We've not really taken the game to teams from the off in the league this season.

isnt that like 5 0r 6 goals now for fryatt in his first 9 games?

or somthing like that....

:D

yes, but the **** sitter he missed tonight was unforgiveable - Fryatt is currently missing at least one open goal per game and this evening was dreadful

Tunch is back! :)

Brown has been solid since the start of the season but Tunch is soooooooooo much a better footballer - more composed, quicker (Brown was given a torrid time by McLean tonight) and oozes class - it was good to see him back

What a load of utter crap. We should take some tips from Peterborough on how to pass the ball around and play some football instead of this route one bollocks we always seem to rely on.

We're going to seriously struggle as the season progresses due to lack of creativity and goals from anyone else but Fryatt and his first half miss was just, well, awful. Paul Gallagher is not a winger and as soon as Pearson realises this the better. We have Dyer & Adams on the bench who both play on the wing, maybe Pearson should drop moaning, lazy Howard and put Gallagher up front.

We looked absolutely clueless at times, ecspecially in the first half, if the scoreline was 5-0 at the break it wouldn't have been undeserved.

I don't see how we're going to compete with the 'better' teams in this division based on inept performances like that.

Had to work through the first half unfortunately so only managed to catch the second. At first Pearson's changes seemed to have the desired effects when we got the equaliser and such, but it soon became apparent that the lack of width was going to be a major problem.

Oakley, one of our most important players, found himself nowhere for 45 minutes as he struggled to get into the game whatsoever. King was an absolute shambles, awful performance from him. We were struggling to find space, and when we did (i.e. on the right hand side with Neilson), there was no useful pass on offer.

On the positive side, it's another point. I also thought that Tunchev looked back to his best, which is nice to see. From what I saw I'd say Berner was probably our best player second half.

Ok, I wasn't there and from all accounts Fryatt missed a sitter, but let's remember that Fryatt is the only player in our team that ever looks like scoring. He misses plenty of shockers but at least he gambles and gets the chances to score, and he's still got a pretty impressive 6 goals already.

Where the hell are our other attacking players? Howard looks like he'll never score and our midfielders don't even get into the box. We seriously need to sort out our forward play because without Fryatt already this season we'd be in the brown stuff.

Very very poor.

Once again Fryatt showed how inconsistent he is with his shocking misses.

I'm starting to wish NP never signed Gallagher because he can't play on the wing and just seems to get in the way of top performer Adams and Dyer, the actual wingers.

2 points dropped tonight definitely, Brown was awful but Tunch looked good, Neilson is ok but not great, Berner was class once again, Wellens was off form, King is pointless, N'Guessan i didn't really notice him, Howard won a few headers but missed a load and just seems to encourage long balls.

TBH i thought we deserved to lose today. But home to P'Boro are the games we need to win to have a playoff chance.

Why Dj or Kermo or Adams or Gradel don't get games il never know, they have got to be given a go.
