Olympics need to suffer from their own fifa moment. Clearly some shady dealings have gone on for sometime. When you have financial and health concerns this should have either been cancelled or at the very least delayed until a proper decision can be made.

I thought they'd already cleaned up their act after the awarding of the Winter Olympics to Salt Lake City was proved to be a "fix". I think everyone also accepts that Atlanta 1996 was bent too, along with god knows how many other bids.

The bids for London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 are regarded as being "clean" I think by most observers?

I can't believe this is not far off. I used to love the build up to the Olypmics. With this one I am just waiting for people to get diseased or robbed, rather than waiting for who is going to win the 100m.
