Part Of The Crowd Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 EDL were standing in the way of an NSPCC/Childline charity event in Plymouth at the weekend, would not move, giving out leaflets and standing with flags wrapped round their topless bodies. Two women were walking round with hoodies with their EDL nicknames on them 'Princess-Angel' was one. When they came up to me I couldn't help but tell them my Ukrainian heritage and point out that I spoke better English than them and as I have a job, am contributing to society more than them. Their response? 'Yeah, but you're foreign ennit so you can **** off.'. I was stunned by their eloquence, I had to point out that they were effectively disrupting a charity event aimed at helping British children. No answer to that one. Pricks of the highest order.

He's struggling to say basic sentences so resorts to making up words (Muslamic?). I've met severely disabled people who sound more articulate than him. If this isn't a reason to prevent certain people from reproducing I don't know what is. Muslamic rape gangs? Mind boggling.

James. Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 "Static protest" by the EDL in Tower Hamlets (my borough) tomorrow after Theresa May banned a march. Probably for the best given the recent riots (the police are probably shit scared of having a mobile group and would be better prepared to deal with a static one). As for the UAF I got handed a leaflet at Bethnal Green tube, they're gathering for a counter-demo down the road from me. Think I might go along. Any other Londoners considering it? Could get heated given the ethnic diversity of Tower Hamlets and the fact that the UAF are meeting close to the East London Mosque.

Start a days worth of aggro and it gives them the buzz they are looking for and a load of press coverage to boot, I know the UAF enjoy the confrontation with police etc as well, but I find the tactics bizarre.

The counter protest looks to be more than just a bunch of people looking for a buzz - the leaflet talks about public speakers, DJ's, MC's, even Nitin Sawhney is meant to be turning up (that alone is worth going down for!). So in a way I think the intention is a celebration of diversity in Tower Hamlets and to comprehensively show that the EDL aren't welcome. At the same time there is a risk that you validate their existence by protesting against them so it's a difficult balance. That said I do think that more coverage can be good because as some of the videos in this thread demonstrate give them the chance to speak to the camera and they'll do a pretty good job of looking like utter retards.

No they do not represent the views of the majority of White English but that does not mean that there is no problems with multiculturalism and it does not mean people are not worried about what is happening to our country . They are a side show nothing more . The real issues are being ignored and the future is not looking good , there will be many more riots to come and people dying at the hands of Muslim extremists, you know just ordinary people on a bus or tube blown to pieces by so called British citizens . Until people and politicions pull their heads from out their backsides and face the real issues nothing is going to change . I would like nothing better than to live in a society where all ethnic backgrounds are respected but unfortunately Islam rejects our society point blank calling us Infidels and our women whores for daring to wear short skirts , and making their women dress in a medieval way . Oh i forgot and burning Poppy's on remembrance day and screaming abuse at our armed forces returning home . Or did none of this happen ?

But I think people are a bit more responsible than to point the finger at every Muslim person they see on the street and assume they are up to something. The people who burnt the poppys do not represent any Muslim organisation apart from themselves. Most Muslim organisations and Muslims public disassociate themselves when the name Anjem Chaudry is mentioned. I don't understand your point about more riots to come and people dying at the hands of Muslim extremists? Do you mean people will be rioting in favour of the EDL? or just in general? The recent riots had nothing to do with religion, and yet you see Chrisitan, Sikhs and Muslims all defending their temples and the streets of England, and defending eachothers places of worship and businesses. How do you tackle the problem? Do you tell every Brown or Black skinned person that you are a potential terrorist in the waiting? What about White Muslims? Are they a threat? No religion condones Extremism and Terrorism, or murder. Contrary to the belief of what the EDL think. The EDL leader admitted he never read the Qur'an in his life, so what does he really know about Islam?

Brilliant am down in the East End tomorrow, don't think I'm heading out much further the Brick Lane/ Rough Trade/ Truman Brewery etc and surrounding area but with the ethnic diversity down there I hope I don't witness to many of these scumbags about. A Muslim could point at me and say you are white therefore you support the E.D.L . Difference is if i had any information that the E.D.L were about to turn to acts of violence I would go to the police immediately and tell them what i know . I for one refuse to believe that no one in the muslim community knew what those bombers were going to do in London . And that is the crux of the matter . For what ever reason the Muslim people do not feel British in any way shape or form .our whole way of life is at odds with their culture and religion and begs the question why settle here if you are going to make no effort to integrate , and secularise your self from society in general . So am i now being racist for asking those questions ? if so there is a lot of people who are going to be labelled as such when they are not racist at all .

They have almost managed to give legitimacy to an organisation that would of died within weeks with no press coverage. Shouting "Nazi scum" at White people waving Israel flags just ends up looking a but bizarre....
